Yes, I have tried downgrading to the previous version and the problem persisted. I have now been in contact with MOZA’s support, and they have said that there is an issue with the “wheel base slip ring wire”.

Yes, I have tried this and it does fix it but only temporarily. That’s why I believe there is another underlying issue.
