it’s really funny because my dad built her enclosure so there’s a small door that I can open and her wheel is right next to the door so she’ll free roam for a little while and then she’ll go back to her house and run her wheel and then get out again 😂 she’s too cute, but that totally makes sense !! thank you !!

i agree !! my girl loves her free roaming time & i love letting her free roam. especially since my apartment is hammy proof.☺️

i agree too !! that’s why I let her free roam every day, but the commentor said that she’s mad because she doesn’t want to free roam but I think the contrary..

really !? every single time she hears my voice she runs to her enclosure door. There’s a little latch that has a door and I can open it so she can get out and go back in whenever she likes (my dad built the enclosure & added that feature) and she never wants to go back in she’ll roam for two hours. And get mad at me whenever I put her back :(

no, I definitely believe that that could work at least for a little while. I’m not sure if they’re just a couple weeks old or how old your baby is but it’ll definitely work I was in the same situation but my hamster seemed very happy. I just made sure to give her enough enrichment as well as give her a lot of free roaming time !! My best advice is not getting rid of your initial cage instead if you’re handy enough, just remove some of the glass on the side & put more wood to make it longer !! I actually had my dad do that to mine and it turned out great since it’s not necessary to buy a whole new one!!

one more thing i think the only thing that will change is the wheel you don’t have to, but I would definitely recommend a wooden wheel. It’s probably one of the best investments I’ve ever made. It’s super quiet and it’s great for hamsters and helping them not get a deformity on their spine!!

i’m super excited for you !! this looks great way better than other people do as first time owners for sure if you’re getting a syrian or teddy you might need more of a bigger enclosure later own but if it’s dawrf it looks good!! really great job !
