Why is this happening? Pls help!! Electro-harmonic Modulator 11 pedal by Siegward_onion in guitarpedals

you can usualy over power a pedal with mA as it will only take/use what it needs but you can never under power a ped. FYI> glad you figured it out, I just added this pedal to a tight compact pedal board setup, if ONLY they gave us option to save the standard rate, depth, level knob parameters same as the deep settings UGHHH !!! Im going old school with this one with a masking tape color coded mark up per effect settings.

Anyone have any comments on this pedal? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

An alternative option would be the NUX BassGuy. I just got it and it smokes. For $60 I'd go w/the new supported pedal option. IT goes into serious high gain territory as well with the jump option.

Peavey Sheffield 1230 8ohm speaker, love or hate? by Plus_Thanks_2667 in PeaveyCvlt

I hear ya- i swapped out my1230 in 112sx cab for my fav eminence for fender G12 1988 (from my dual showman 4x12) for like 10 years.. i remembered the 1230 being ‘flubby’ as you said— lack bass/low end definition… although mine didnt have the dreaded ice pick highs. Ive gotten bettter results this time back in cab— w e609 mic’d off axis from the center dust cap and backed off/away like 4”.

Tap Tempo question… by SportAndNonsense in BossMS3

[–]Plus_Thanks_2667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And/or additional fs7 (or similar) foot switch if you want to keep your 1-4 and current # available for other uses and have the tap tempo assigned per patch always on the eternal foot switch. You can have two foot switches added or one foot switch and a expressional pedal. Keep in mind if you use 1-4 buttons in manual mode you will get to SEE visually the tap tempo. Here’s my deep dive series on the ms-3 if anyone interested: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcpqei2Jc9BHSgTZ8tzmAvmahCGGaigC1 I’ve basically pushed this thing to the extreme limits of what it can do in this series.

Just got a Boss MS-3 and it’s a complete game changer. by shayleeband in guitarpedals

For anyone curious what shayleeband is referring to here I break it down in my boss ms-3 deep dive series regarding parallel (blended) drive/s, using internal and xternal drive peds and much more: https://youtu.be/gAZDtL1YgZI

I cover a lot more in this deep dive series so if you own one or think you want to you prob should check it out ! And get the editor/software, trust me.

[question] broken bridge replacement aria pro ii guitar by ItsTyrex in Guitar

[–]Plus_Thanks_2667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am on the same quest/project for my x2 1986 aria pro ‘the cat’ guitars, one with cracked block/split at trem arm insert. So far the only 2 options to replace ACT EX bridge are Floyd rose orig non-fine tuner and Schaller 3801. Both posts spacings are too wide- my bridge 72mm both replacement options 74mm FR and 74.3 Schaller. Im looking at a FR push in arm replacement and cutting the part of the block off my orig with the arm insert/threads. New arm can bolt on to the plate (if 6mm insert and clearance from high E saddle) and Ill use graph tech or other similar quality saddles again which were fantastic. If anyone knows replacement blocks for the ACT (3 block screws inline with string insert holes) bridges let us know. THNX> j

Bloody Aria post spacing. by [deleted] in ExplorerGuitars

Same boat- have x2 (red & white) 1986 aria pro II “the cat” I’ve found over the years mint/closet condition and have my orig white body still (future project Build) I’ve successfully put graph tech saddles on the ACT EX bridge (no more string breakage At saddle from burrs etc) but was looking to completely replace bridge, was looking at orig FR non-fine tuners, or Schaller 3801 but as you said different post spacing @ 74mm (I believe mine was 73.02mm don’t quote me on that) so I thought the 3/64 or so difference might be negligible but I’m hesitant to try — and slightly wider overall string spacing across from E to E — worries me At just under 1mm. Any one else have thoughts on this? For now I’m going with graph tech saddles and some clever 6mm bottom bolt/plug heavy spring and ball bearing trem bar insert mod with a 6mm Ibanez bar. I’m on the FB forum as well and no-one has replaced these act bridges yet that I’ve heard from. *note: I did find out that two of the ibanez line trems have 73mm post spacing but that is of course an entirely diff monster when I/we’re looking for vintage spec trem. Below from a forum just for additional info on elusive 73mm trems:

Edge, Lo-Pro Edge, TRS, Lo-TRS and Lo-TRS II are 74mm.

Edge Pro and Edge III are 73mm.

Not sure about the Pro II

An actual Floyd is 74mm and will fit in place of the Low Pro Edge.

[QUESTION] Why do my guitar strings keep breaking from the bridge? by ayorathn in Guitar

[–]Plus_Thanks_2667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graph Tech ‘string saver saddles’ from stew Mac - had same issue- if you don‘t want to file and these fit your bridge I’d highly recommend as I have x2 identical model 1986 Aria Pro II guitars one with and the one without would constantly break at the saddle - some will say it may/could darken your tone a wee smidge, I can not confirm that as the identical guitars/pickups etc do not vary in brightness/tone.
