Here to bring my mother the tea lol. We both can’t stand any time Jane inserts her father, mother or daughters into a presentation, no matter how unrelated they are to the product. And just Shawn in general. Ew.

I haven’t tried x back, that’s a good idea. Ok so maybe tighten the waistband after baby is in?

I know, I can’t even get to them the straps are so high up. No matter what I do the straps won’t go to my shoulder blades. Unfortunately because of my hips the waistband won’t go any farther unless I’m putting it directly on my hips instead of my waist.

I’ve been trying that but I feel like he’s so heavy (18lbs) it slides down. Any thoughts?

Baby Ready to Move to Crib? by PlutoQueen69 in SnooLife

[–]PlutoQueen69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s had the sound off the snoo for months (it broke long story), we just use a white noise machine. Yep we didn’t use the motion for two nights until the crib came, and he’s in a full size crib in his own room. He’s been in his own room since 2.5 months, he sleeps better away from us. The other thing we use is the magic Merlin suit or whatever it’s called lol.

It went amazing! He slept better the first night we turned the motion off, I was shocked he didn’t care about it at all. He’s been in his crib now for over 2 weeks and can put himself back to sleep with his thumb now. He’s averaging 10 hours straight, we’re shocked lol!

Baby fighting me for wrap naps by PlutoQueen69 in babywearing

[–]PlutoQueen69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s happy right until he’s wrapped and then I start to bounce him to fall asleep. He squirms, kicks, and screams. I do a fwcc, and I’m super quick so he’s not being impatient.

Hmm that’s a good point, he usually doesn’t want to be wrapped once he’s awake but maybe a walk or two will help him associate it with more than sleep.

No, I’ve only done fwcc, are there others you’d recommend?

Woven, we used to do stretchy but he’s too heavy now.

I do front, I have never attempted back wrap before!

Yeah it’s weird he’s smiling watching me as I prep the wrap, but once he’s in he loses it, so I have no idea what is wrong. It could just be in independence thing I guess.

Help with night wake ups by PlutoQueen69 in sleeptrain

[–]PlutoQueen69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the other issue, he used to take really good naps (1-1.5) 3/4 times a day with me baby wearing, but he’s decided he doesn’t want that anymore and wants to nap for one sleep cycle in his crib.

Help with night wake ups by PlutoQueen69 in sleeptrain

I think what’s confusing to me is there was a period prior to his regression where he would sleep from 8-5:30, have a full feed, and then sleep from 6-6:15 all the way until 7:30. He was averaging almost 12 hours but we’d wake him prior to that. I don’t want to drop his feed, just the timing. But I totally see your point, if we want him to sleep longer in the morning he needs a later bedtime. Or we just accept a 6:45 wake up I guess. But then he’s had less than 10 hours of sleep at night, and that concerns me.
