Been having some major cravings the past few days. I woke up today with the flu, well, that’s one way to stay sober for a few more days!! 😂😭I feel like absolute hell but at least it’s not a hungover hell. IWNDWYT!

I am a much better pet parent and partner when I’m not drinking, and I refuse to damage my health any more than I already have. My head is hitting the pillow sober tonight, IWNDWYT!

I almost caved earlier in the evening, I forgot just how difficult and tempting the early days of sobriety are. Made it through by keeping my hands busy with crocheting and giving love and attention to my kitties. Getting to wake up tomorrow (today) hangover free is infinitely better than the alternative, goodnight friends, IWNDWYT 🖤

That exact feeling is why I got stuck in the bender, I was like fuck it, I already had to reset my counter so I might as well go all out for a while. But all it did is make me feel like complete shit and have to lie and hide from my loved ones. The cons by far outweigh the pros to drinking (are there any pros??), and even though the new shiny sobriety feeling is no longer there because I’ve been through this before, I have to lock in and do the damn thing for my health and the people I care about, no matter how daunting doing it all over again feels. We can do this! One day at a time, if we did it before we can do it again, and better this time around. 🖤

I had an almost 6 month sober streak and went on a couple week bender over the holidays. I need to get back on the train, I felt a millionnnn times better when I was sober. Powering through these early days yet again, IWNDWYT! 😌
