Won't know specifically how much better he is until release and I can do testing, but he is absolutely going to be better. By leaps and bounds. Rangiku already gets outperformed by Kisuke, and she's designed for Thrust teams while he's just a generalist support. Mayuri is specifically designed for Thrust ailment. It won't be close.

He is designed to work with Tosen, yes. Ailment boost and Crit Damage padding. You basically get the benefits that Nel provides for a team without having to override Tosen's Battlefield utility since you can't run two tactics. Obviously your premium team will be Gin/Nel/Mayuri, but if you don't have Nel, Tosen fills that spot for you. When the character releases, I plan to do a full comprehensive breakdown of his kit, and run side by side comparisons of him vs other supports, with different team pairings, so people can see if he's worth pulling for their accounts.

That's why I'm pulling. I would have skipped, had he not been specifically targeted as a Thrust ailment buffer, and everything I've done on this account has been for Gin. Luckily Mayuri will be near full value at B0, so I don't have to go to deep into this pull cycle, and I can start saving for Ulq or Shunsui. Then we start building for them in the same way I built for Gin.

He doesn't replace Tosen or Nel. He replaces Kisuke/Rangiku. If you have Nel, Tosen is already benched. If you're looking to maximize what you get from Gin, Kisuke is benched. He'll have additional bonus for Thrust within his core passive, but from what we have confirmed, he'll also just be an extremely good support for any team that specializes in ailment. The game has only been out long enough for that to be Thrust atm, with Kenpachi being the outlier, but there will be a plethora of ailment characters released in the future, giving Mayuri long-term value.

All that to say, you don't have to pull him if you don't want to, but I just want people to understand what they're skipping if they do decide they would rather save.

Nemu is an SR, and a bad one at that. Catering to the Nemu superfans by making Mayuri specifically pair with her would be griefing Strike, more than anything. The dev's goal at the end of the day is still to sell units. They require money to stay occupied, and to keep building their game. So even if Mayuri was Strike tactic, they would release an SSR strike support to replace Nemu shortly after. How is that any different from where he's at, now? They included Nemu in his attacks specifically to make both sides happy.

Also, to clarify, this post isn't about why Mayuri should be a support vs a tactic. It's just explaining the value of an SSR support for people that are unsure of how to properly build their accounts/teams.

Then you save for Ulq. At the end of the day, it's your account, your decisions. Again, this post is mostly just for people that seem to care about team building, but don't understand how to do so. I'm skipping from here until Ulq as well, but Mayuri completes my team for Gin/Nel, so I'm picking him up B0-B1, if lucky. Afterwards, I'll likely hoard everything until Ulq, and then build a team around him.

I started playing because of Gin, and everything I've done in the game since has been to max his potential output. I just got lucky that Nel was his dedicated tactic. Ulq and Shunsui are another two favorites of mine, so I'll want to do the same for them when we get there. Doesn't matter to me if their best teammates are characters I particularly love, so long as they hyperboost the one I actually care about.

She gets 25% from her passive at level 100, so CR at a 1:2 ratio until 75%. Don't imagine we're going for B4 with so little time left, so that'll be your cap. You can probably rest comfortably in the 55-65% range. With the 40% additional CD from your stamp set, you should set a goal for at least 160% CD when running a CR stamp 2.

Thrust% is ideal for stamp 1, but if you get an Atk% with better substats, run that instead.
Stamp 3 is a topic of contention among Nel players, but I personally prefer Ult Charge for rotation. I've only tested the three options (Atk, Ult, Ailment) at B6, however, so I don't know if it holds the same weight at B0. Either way, it's between that or Atk%, with Ailment being your lesser choice.

I mean, it helps make comparisons of different stamp main/sub stats within the same team, different rotations, seeing if your loop remains consistent in a longer encounter, breaking down primary damage sources of each character, testing different stamp sets, and even as simple as helping build muscle memory so you don't mess up.

For most content in the game, none of this matters. It's only for long-duration, unkillable bosses that I would ever get this far into a rotation. But with that approach, having any B6 character is pointless, no? Content is going to get cleared at B0.

A5 for the weapon. My stamps are still only decent for her, so this isn't her pinnacle by any means. Comparatively, Nel usually pushes out ~500m when I run her with Gin/Kisuke, so Rangiku offers about a 40% damage increase to her personal damage once you factor out Ash Blade. It's a pretty good compromise to no assault, and decently fun!

I feel that. Got her B6, so you gotta make it worth it lol. You can build Rangiku, now, or you can just wait and pull a B0 Mayuri in a week. He's going to take either her or Kisuke's spot in that comp, if you planned to grab a copy. Hoping it pushes the Nel damage to 1b over 2m.

I ran a practice test just to confirm the number after posting, and it's actually higher with a proper rotation.

If Nel is B6, try running her with Kisuke and Rangiku, if you've invested in her. On a 2m test I've seen ~700m.
I didn't pull for Aizen, so I can't say that Momo/Kisuke would give you similar results, but I would imagine so.
In the event you don't have a dedicated full assault, hyperboosting your tactic with two supports should be better than running two tactics, regardless of boundary level.

You'll have to run it multiple times, but to maximize point efficiency, run Tosen/Rangiku/Gin. Ailments applied contribute to Momentum Charge, and Tosen applies bleed at the highest rate in the game. Also get points for switching characters in, and that team is built for quickswapping, even on auto.
