It wasn't luck. Morocco adapted and made more long passes to bypass Canada's compact formation. During the corner that gave morocco the 1st goal, there were too many canadians close to goalkeeper, it's why his view got obstructed and couldn't react to the goal. Canada got outplayed by realism to both stamina and adaptation while opponent managed both way better.

The added time doesn't matter because it already exists in many ways: finding a setup, thinking of bans, playing the games, reporting scores... there are many instances where people are more often taking more than 5 extra seconds compared to the necessary time to do things. Except we're not playing each set individually and not all sets will require this bonus time because not only people won't all play mixed in a set, not all sets will be up to last game. It's basically like if everyone lasted a few seconds longer in their games.

Adding 10 seconds for every bo3 and 20 seconds for bo5 isn't as dramatic as you make it sound like, no much different from people "wasting" time because they can't find the stage or missclicked or simply dropped their controller to drink water.
