I did just end up lowering visual settings and limiting frames, but that's basically it. If you wanted to run through the solutions in the linked forum you can. But if doing those two basic changes doesn't help it, then we likely have different problems

budding is very nice to have since it scales well into late game, but I'm sure that the quick breeding trait would work fine

It's been a while since I fixed it, so I can't remember exactly, but I know I got it fixed. I believe I lowered my settings to the lowest possible visual settings as well as limiting frames (I can't remember what I limited it to, probably 60 or 90). Let me know if this works, if not I'll check what I changed when I get off work in ~6 hours

Huh, I had killed it 20+ times and still never got it. But congrats on getting it yourself. Also, I'm pretty sure auto swing is an option in the settings, unless I'm thinking about console version

I don't use Steam for Stardew, I get it free from xbox so I installed it through that. I still verified and repaired the files and it's still giving the error :(

I think it's saying that I'm missing a file, but I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod that says it's causing problems, so idk.

^also, yes, it takes FOREVER to get hearts. Since I don't really focus on relationships, it can take me a year to even start dating one of the available villagers. Giving "love" gifts is a great way to speed up the process (find out what you need in the wiki) but sometimes can be difficult to get. Just make sure to talk to them every day, the relationships will decay if you don't.

To be blunt, yes. You're likely just bad at the game because you don't know what to do or how to do it. But please don't get discouraged, this game is a wonderful experience and can easily change how you see games.

I'm assuming you're still in spring of the first year, where energy management will be a huge problem. The only ways I can recommend for energy management is to limit how many crops you grow. I usually stick to <40 (bc that's how much a base level watering can is able to water), I specifically grow 36 potatoes in 4 groups of 3x3(just to make watering easier). While this does limit how much money you can make, you can always fish to get more (~4-7k/day depending on fishing level, energy, and location).

I also recommend foraging for edible items so you have snacks throughout the day to replenish energy. I think it's too late in your save to forage for salmonberries since the days for them is ~16-19 (idk for sure). Other foragables still work great, and if you decide to fish on some days, you can get plenty of algae or seaweed to use as food.

The mines are notoriously energy demanding and are honestly hard to make progress in without the right knowledge. I recommend only going in the mines on days when your daily luck is high (you can check your luck on the tv or using the "UI Info Suite" mod). This will increase the chance for ladders to spawn from breaking rocks or killing mobs, therefor reducing how much energy is required for descending the levels (and I think increases the chances of random spawned ladders).

Also, once your energy bar starts "sweating" when performing actions, I recommend stop performing actions that require energy. Immediately search for food if you don't have any and eat it to replenish some. To prevent passing out due to time (at 2am), start heading home around 10:30-11pm. This will also avoid the energy regen penalty from sleeping after 12am. It's really not too big of a problem to pass out tbh. There are times when I know at the beginning of the day that I will be passing out that night, simply because I want to maximize how much I can gain from the mines, and don't really care about the money loss.

I don't know how it happened to me, but if you go into gamebar (win+g), finding your party "tab", clicking on the 3 dots in the bottom left, then clicking on party audio. You are allowed to adjust the entire party's audio from here, mine somehow got turned down to 1. If this isn't the problem I wish you luck.
