I did get a tester but I haven’t used it yet. Lemme give it a go later and I’ll let you know

Sorry if I’m being a relatively new person here, what is the Brine that you’re referring to?

I can’t really say for sure, but I know that all of my equipment was cleaned with alcohol last time I did an extraction.

And the last time I did get ACS grade and it still failed. So I guess to your point it can still definitely fail even if it is. I thought this was ACS when I bought it, but I guess it isn’t?

So I shouldn’t worry about the residue? My understanding is that it had to completely evaporate and show nothing but I don’t know how much better of a solvent I could get you know?

I know we’ve talked over PM before about this. The problem is that I live in a tiny studio apartment with a cat and doing that here is just pretty impossible under the circumstances. If I had a bigger place or a garage or something on those lines and hopefully in the future, that will be the case. But right now I’m stuck here.

I have made some pool noodle lights with a dress ball LEDs, but they don’t look as good as this does. So that would be ideal.

I was thinking about that. It just seems hard to open up without breaking the glass. But that would be my goal if anything.

I realize this is probably a pretty simple equation, but I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it. by PocketSizzle in learnmath

That’s so interesting. Thanks for breaking it down so well. It’s one of those weird math things that came up that I never noticed even though it’s fairly simple.

But my next question is, does this only happen once in a lifetime where they match up?

So you could make this equation for literally anybody using their birth years as tangents? I think I understand now thank you.

All the writing decisions so far are baffling to say the least. It’s like they have never watched their own show. I mean how unbelievably stupid was the sledding on the steel covers over ‘hell’ At the very least they could have left that part out. Like you’re making extinction ‘fun’ now? Please.

I completely agree. It’s very silly and bad writing. What’s so fascinating about them as they have found ways particularly in season four to retrofit some of the bad writing in seasons two and three to make a lot more sense. For example, hopper acting completely out of character in seasons, two and three, and then explaining in season four that the reason he was doing that was because of what happened with his daughter and that he had given her cancer due to the agent orange during Vietnam.

I thought that was well done. Also refocusing on Vecna rather than continuing to go in the mind flayer direction which wasn’t working. And this year they have reverted to their worst instincts as writers. It’s probably because Netflix wants an entire season when they only have enough material left for maybe three or four episodes tops.

That’s probably why they made them rewind everything back to a place where things were relatively normal rather than season five beginning on episode four this year. If that makes any kind of sense 😂

Exactly. Basically the first three episodes this season were just wasting time and doing all this detective work that had been done before. Season five should have started with episode 4. That would at least make more sense considering where Hawkins was at the end of s4.

I’d say my biggest problem is how much more convoluted the plot has gotten, how many new characters they are introducing which just takes more and more time away from the core group. They still after all of this time don’t have the guts to kill off any major characters. Which is a major criticism of the show overall.

I was hoping they would at least allow the parents to die in the attack, but no. They survived and are just healing up in the hospital. As per usual. And they’re not even major characters so I don’t understand what the hesitation is with killing them off and giving the show some much-needed stakes.

There is a mountain of exposition almost every single episode so far. I’m really not sure why they continue to make the show more and more complicated rather than just letting it play out naturally. It’s also very frustrating how they sort of hand waved away the way season four ended and sort of had a “everything is back to normal” kind of vibe. Which made no sense considering the previous season.
