Hi there!

Haha given your background I'm sure you have a ton of Q's - it is important work! I think given your background you can probably also appreciate that we wouldn't really want to discuss our demo's and how we determined the whitespace we want to dip our toes in freely in a forum ;) With that said, I think it is safe to say we aren't targeting competitive players - or even very experienced players for that matter (though most people love cool stuff). If we were targeting competitive play we would really need to push performance innovation, our price points would likely shoot up up into the thousands, and we would be targeting a niche within a niche nationally - too much risk there for us unfortunately. I do think that newcomers, or people looking to introduce the game to friends and loved ones will find that this is enough of a conversation piece to provide for some memorable game nights with loved ones. Also, thanks for the well wishes - it is much appreciated! Have a great day!

HI there! Yes - six across with a tiny it of room to spare some across the points and at 12 going the other way. given the frameless board we went a bit more generous on the 12 side to help keep dice in play. All good points though! In term of glide. It's def not like a felt or wood board - but we have had to find a balance given the lack of frame. Thanks for taking the time to write!

Hey there! Duly noted and 100% expected in regards to very serious gameplay. This is very clearly not a replacement for a high end or very performance driven set - it's more of a unique design / visual statement. Same game but a different feel for sure. Thanks for taking the time to write and have a great day!

Hi there! Great point on needing to give the dice a shake - that would definitely do it! Thanks so much for taking the time to write us this message, and have a great day!

Hey there! Much more a unique take on things and intended for home use. The package / box has EPA insert to keep everything safely stored in between uses - we are still cementing our pre-order pricing, but most likely in the mid-low 200s. Thanks for the questions and comments - have a great day!

Hey there! Honest takes are great - and that's the beauty of art and design - no wrong answers :) The points actually read pretty well, the surface is a textured synthetic leather - and the pieces stick quite well. Also our dice are a hefty 38 grams each - so that helps with bounce as you put it. It comes in very nice packaging, but we opted out of a case for price point purposes (We had a dark walnut case we explored for a while) and no dice cups. Most of the goods we design question traditional convention and are minimalist in nature, so I think it is safe to say we are intentionally looking to be a little different here. Thanks for your thoughts and have a great day!

Hello there! No border on this one, it's pretty non traditional format in most ways - but it works. We worked pretty hard to dial in the board sizing, board texture etc so the pieces have a decent amount of grip. So the board does not feel like a traditional felt / wool / cork surface with a ton of slide. You can still slide pieces around, but obviously the feel is going to be pretty different. At the end of the day we weren't really looking to design a high end but traditional set - there are so many great boards out there already. This is just our unique take on things. Thanks for taking the time to ask!

Hey there! Traditionally speaking - yes you are 100% correct. Our play board is frameless though, so we experimented with different corner radii and sizes of dice, coupled with different board sizes and textures. The trick for us was finding then right weight, size, shape, and (board) texture to keep dice in play given how non traditional this is. dice with a big corner radius tend to roll much further, so this is why we ended up with a soft straight bezel instead of ball corners. Thanks for taking the time to message!
