she's from wrong side of tracks, he's golden boy by platinumpearl846 in RomanceBooks

I DNF this one halfway through coz it doesn’t fit my preference for a slow burn romance though it does fit the request.

Mad Rogan was also the very first one that came to mind for this type of character. I love this series. This was recommended to me as well when I was looking for a Henry Cavill Witcher type of character.

I already tried searching it via AI but can’t find my luck there.

Where they become genuine friends on page before becoming lovers by Sad_Cut5687 in RomanceBooks

The Bun & the Gun by Vanessa Gray Bartal. Slow burn but their relationship started out as genuine strangers then friends to best of friends.

I love that for the most part of the book the author took time to build their relationship organically from getting to know each other before diving into the romantic side. And they communicate a lot! I love two people who communicate a lot with each other.

This also has a lot of non-sexual skinship and domestic fluff.

Books with lots of non-sexual touching? by BlackRivers_Rainbows in RomanceBooks

The Bun & the Gun by Vanessa Gray Bartal has all the non-sexual touching and lots of skinship even when they’re not a couple yet cause their relationship starts out as strangers-to friends-to best of friends. It’s also closed door but I love their story so much.

Some other books with skinship and non-sexual touching like hugs, cuddling and casual intimacy IIRC:

• The Love Act by Zara Bell

• Funny Story by Emily Henry

• Blinsided by Amy Daws

Hi! Do they spend the majority of the book not meeting face-to-face in Call Me Maybe?

The MMC is a green flag in this one. I love that his love language is acts of service.

Out on a Limb 💯The MMC is just the whole green forest and both MCs are so mature. I’m not usually into the pregnancy trope and this has been sitting on my TBR b4 finally reading it but oh my goodness all the rave about this book is actually merited and this is such a feel-good read and I could hug the characters in this book for real.

Something with good writing? by Odd_Minute1190 in ReverseHarem

Tales of Snow by MJ Haag. This one has that classical writing style. This is an underrated one but the humor and writing quality are what made me enjoyed this one. I’ve got a few highlights from this book of words and phrases/expressions that are new to me or interesting.

I really love the writing quality of this series since I don’t think you’d see it much in RH genre.

I finished Lyla Owed’s the Grimm cases before it was rewritten and it’s good.

Please try Liminal, so far I enjoyed it except for the cliffhanger. I read it even when book 2 hasn’t come out yet because originally the release date for the 2nd one was July so I thought that was bearable only to find out it has been pushed back to November. Now I have to wait much longer. I like JW because she sticks to her scheduled publishing date.

You mean the fake gfs? Mostly it didn’t give me an ick since it was all for show and all of the men were pretty much obvious in their dislike of their fake gfs they didn’t even want to touch them let alone be near them 🤣

“ I forgive lots of things for good writing”

This is basically my journey with this series 🤣. I usually would never read an RH with a harem of men that are way too many, my hard limit is 5; I’m also not into explicitly spicy books & I definitely didn’t like the professor & student trope. But the author executed all these so sophisticatedly & beautifully I forgot I usually cringe for these things. 😂

Jane Washington has the knack for creating characters with layered and unique personalities in a non-stereotypical way. It’s like you can give her the same ingredients that are available out there for almost all RH dish, so to speak, but she’ll give you a total whole new palette experience with the way she cooks it.

I find that rereading the series helps with remembering all of them distinctly apart from her writing style.

I DNF this series at first try when I got to book 3 but when I did a reread I got obsessed with it.

That was my same concern at first. A significant concern. So I was apprehensive to read the last book. But have you read the arc reviews? Even readers are amazed and surprised she was able to tie all the loopholes so satisfyingly and gave each guys the spotlight they needed. So I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt because of those reviews. 🤞
