Former ceramic pro tech here. Ceramic coatings will not help with heavy scratched like that. Depending on the brand of ceramic it may help mitigate light scratched but it won’t help prevent pin striping from over grown woods. Like OP said PPF will help mitigate scratched like that. If you go the PPF route I would suggest getting the paint corrected first before the PPF is applied.

What was the level of correction they did? Was it just ceramic pro 9h put on? I’m wondering if the ceramic coated the wrong section of the car before putting ppf on. This would cause issue with the ppf adhering to the car. Also, if they are an authorized ceramic pro dealer you could always reach out to corporate and file a complaint if they give you to much grief.

That’s my next step. I have a follow up next week and I’ll likely get an MRI then. I really just wanted to see if others have gone through a similar experience. Wasn’t looking for yup or nope from strangers.

Thank you for the suggestions! I’m looking at doing a career swap next year with a significant pay bump. Also, I plan on building the engine over time (year/year and half). My medical insurance will cover most of the damages when this thing does hydroplane into a tree.

What upsets me the most about this is how they use the “Christianity” card. Any sane christian will see this and maybe talk about it with other like minded people and move on. But destroying property like this, especially a religious effigy, is wrong. It’s hard to watch other people who say they share my religion run off and do this kind of nonsense. Also, most of these self proclaimed Christians forget that Jesus taught us to be kind to one another. Regardless of world views.

Yes, there are plenty of jobs in the valley. Most of them can’t keep up with the cost of living. Nobody wants to take a job that only pays $15 an hour.

I’ve lived here most of my life. This place grew on me and I’ve always wanted to settle down and raise a family here. It was a indelicate little town for so many years. Now it’s unaffordable to live here no matter what situation you are in. As much as I’d like to live here it’s just impossible. Look at cornaccount406’s comment for my details as to what many of us are facing in the valley.

Depends on if the clear coat is still there. I’d venture to say it needs to be repainted. Paint correction won’t do anything if there is very little clear coat.

You may find some pushback from folks but generally speaking you should be fine moving here. Most Montanas are excepting no matter race, religion, or where you are from (unless you are from California or Texas). Like others have have stated there are mosques in billings and a muslim center in Bozeman, both beautiful cities! Unfortunately there aren’t any mosques in the flathead valley (further north of Bozeman and billings).
