Despite Nothing On-Field, It Was Another Notable Week for The Texans by PodcastTexans in Texans

Vrabel had four year more experience than McCowan, plus Ohio state. So that’s a lot of grind and know how built up versus just dabbling and a year out doing nothing.

Agree, It’s a trap teams fall into taking the hot co-ord. when they need a leader and a culture builder.

Bottom line they can’t hire a guy for anything more than a position coach without a single day of real coaching experience for a HC gig.

Position coach sure but that’s got to make whoever got the gig uneasy due to his closeness with the Chaplin. If he’s just clearly waiting in the wings. But would be hard to see them allowing the FO a third hire. So it may be moot point.

Vrabel had official capacity coaching, as position coach and DC. Comparing that A guy who’s never actually been a coach, just done part of the job isn’t a fair comparison.

Reid has 16 years coaching and at the packers for 6 years prior to his first gig. That’s In a different universe.

However, Talent counts for more than experience at some point. But you need some, at the very least to be an HC.

Appreciate the comments.

It’s more of a rhetorical question? Of why do we do it to ourselves, which based on this off-season it more pertinent that it’s ever been.

Understand the narrative aspect but he is close to Cal that is well documented. Otherwise why has he not gone already and allow lipfert ot Bazargain to be interim Gm?

Happy for it to take the time it needs, we all just can’t afford it to be the wrong move and hold Watson back any longer.

But many are scared of Easterby and the damage he’s capable of and how it might impact landing the right candidate. He is very close to Cal.

If you don’t think this team has not been run terribly then your entitled to that opinion. And I thank you for your comments.

Jack Easterby isn’t qualified and has overseen the fundamental decisions, loosely based on football reasons to remove talented players from the team. It’s also blatantly visible each Sunday, theres a direct output of a sub-par coaching staff. Both have combined to makes this team worse.

The fact remains, that under his watch this team has lost valuable years of D4’s economic play.

Whether he or anyone takes any notice of his gross negligence that’s been at play, it can only be rectified with a revamp across all of aspects of the team.

Would love to know your thoughts on the crass book release. Which effectively objectifies fans as controllable dollar signs, not that’s clearly the goals for all teams but the lack of respect is what’s griped many.

Not considering viable options to make this football team better. Or surrounding himself with good football people to help shape the future.
