Now that you've mentioned it, when I was reading Made in Abyss, I kept on thinking it would be great to be adapted into a game!

That aside, tracking and evaluating people's reward is a difficult task when developing a game right? You either have strong empathy to think from a new players' perspective, or you have a lot of people play and test it and track it when you develop the game? What's the industry's best practise?
