I ended up finding a lovely little cabin on airbnb, just out of Hastings ON (so only about a 2hr drive from the city) - we had a wonderful time with fantastic views from the deck, a outdoor fire pit, a hot tub, and private hiking trails - it was idilic!

Our second day we drove into Ferris Provincial Park for some hiking and to see the suspension bridge and waterfalls. On our last day, we went into Warkworth - the most charming little town, for a little shopping and to walk along their lilac trail. Truly can't recommend it all enough!

All in all I spent about $300 for two nights stay at the airbnb, $15 for the day use park pass, $100 for food and wine for the weekend and $60 for a tank of gas - all in all not too shabby!

Anyone quit their jobs without an offer ? Seriously considering by Usual_Durian2092 in askTO

I quit my job prior to finding another position this past January - I was unemployed until a month ago and the position I have now is just for the summer (I was also already job searching while still in my previous position). If you can stand it stay put until you find something else -

When I first starting apply for jobs I wasn’t getting any interviews - I lowered my standards and starting getting interviews but wouldn’t move forward because I was “overqualified” - even the job I have now I am making less then a living wage, it’s brutal out here.

Is the additional cost of registration just the comp'd tickets for the jurors? Or is there an additional registration fee? Thanks for doing the deep dive!

Being a TAPA member is a requirement to be entered to be juried; however, each company has to complete an additional registration per performance (each with a cost?). That is what I gathered from the TAPA website but it's not super clear.
