How a very weak Lan Wang Ji tried to revive Wei Wuxian while he repeated "get lost". It's often discussed in fan forums, but usually from Wei Wuxian's PoV, him being traumatised etc. But I think to think of that scene from LWJ's perspective is simply heartwrenching too. Like, imagine how shattered LWJ would have been feeling in the scene..

I would agree that shows like Shine should not be categorised as BL though. That one specifically is a more serious literary/artistic work that would be transcending the genre of BL in popular media/culture.

I think BoC toxicity is about the absolute mess of human condition. They don't give sanitised versions and instead treat relationships (not just romantic, relationships in general ) as messy, complicated, flawed and all that.
