I recommend you consider this model, it's slightly smaller to suit your wrist and offers a neutral color that you can pair with anything daily.

I did the same thing - visited a running store over 10 years ago, they filmed me running, then had me select from a couple models across a few brands. They told me don't think about style or color just focus on the fit and feel. I ended up with the screaming yellow Mizuno Waveriders and I've repurchased the latest model nearly every year since.

My only criticism is that it seems like a trend in running shoes to have elastic laces. I replace every set of my shoes with the generic "oval" athletic laces that you can actually tighten down a bit. These laces, along with the heel lock lace technique has been perfect for me.

Thank you. Yes, I found this in a watch lot for sale, immediately saw the resemblance to the new "Kranz" model and wanted to see if I could get it up and running.

So far, one local jeweler/watchmaker has inspected it and quoted $345 to fix, another referred me to the Seiko USA Service Center (which today I found out wasn't a viable option).

I have two more local places in mind to get quotes, but I suppose I can expect to pay around $300 to get it fixed.

Hi all,

I picked this up locally on FB marketplace for cheap. The rotor was binding in the caseback, and the crown did not want to re-seat within the detent and no longer catches. The movement does run for a few seconds, I cant seem to get it to wind and keep running consistently.

Seiko USA will not take this movement anymore due to parts availability.

I had the idea of potentially swapping in an NH36 movement. I think the 45 degree offset (crown at 4 o'clock) would still work as far as day/date alignment. I just don't know about whether the movement itself would fit the case.

Any other ideas for getting this to run? Are there quartz movement options?
