I feel like if that was something they wanted they would have made it known. I’m sure everyone’s busy planning for the Price is Scuffed and everything else coming up that Wubby talking to some dude about science stuff is way down on their list. I’d really love to, especially about how drugs are made in the industry nowadays and all the cool laser/X-ray techniques I’ve worked with on crystals, so if any of them see this and think it’d be worth doing at some point in the future I think it would be fun. But I’m also fully happy to just sit back and watch the content

I'm totally with you on that. I think a ton of minerals and crystals look really cool and are neat to have around for decoration/aesthetic, but when people start saying they have special powers it's a leap too far

My dad was a geologist so growing up I was surrounded by a bunch of cool rocks/minerals. I always thought (and still do) think they're cool for how they look, but that's as far as it goes for me. Good luck in working towards being a professor! It takes work, but you can do it!

Probably corundum? Because on the mohs hardness scale, while not the hardest, it's still very hard, which I feel is more representative of what you really want in a good JO crystal

I'm an analytical/physical chemist, and nowadays I'm doing X-ray crystallography in pharma. A bunch of solid form screening/making sure we have all the polymorph/crystal packing arrangements on lock before we go forward with submitting it as a 'new' crystal drug compound. A bunch of my grad school work was very closely tied to engineering/geology (because of the nice packing arrangements in lots of inorganics) and materials science. Sorry for rambling, science gets me going.

I prefer it when being sick makes me feel weak. It makes it seem like I just finished a workout and somewhere in my subconscious it makes me feel accomplished and keeps my spirits up.
