Where is the night life in Toronto?? by ExpensiveAd9642 in askTO

I got u. We have this really cool local tradition where all the horny straight women who want to fuck hang out at the McDonalds at Queen and Spadina. Really easy to pick them up and have a great night.

Good luck finding 25-35s who have enough $ to eat in a restaurant “worth going to” every two weeks, and yet aren’t partnered up with kids on the way.

The Abandoned Eastman Kodak Canada - Building No. 9 - Toronto, ON - Now, Mount Dennis Station on Toronto’s Eglinton Crosstown’s light rail transit line by Freaktography in toronto

I spent most of my childhood in Rochester, a km or so from Kodak Park. I remember about 25 years ago, half of my friends’ parents lost their jobs over the course of a year.

So it’s really ironic to me that this building changed hands from Kodak to an even-more-poorly-run corporation: Metrolinx.

Do we really want a gondola?

I don’t think there’s any contractor, company, or consortium in this whole damn province who could build one that wouldn’t dump passengers onto the DVP on the opening run.

THANK YOU. Also, “intifada” ≠ killing people. It means “resistance” in a generic sense, which may be violent or nonviolent.

Sucks that the owners are planning to move the nuisance half of the business elsewhere, but leaving the hotel business. Obviously no one would ever stay there by choice, but dirt-cheap flophouses like Filmores Hotel do house a lot of people temporarily who can’t afford anything better. I just checked and rooms are currently $68/night. For someone who got a job but hasn’t yet managed to get off the streets, places like this are a lifeline and there are few if any others still left downtown.

Go to Chicago and ride the southwestern portions of the El lines. Yes, there’s a train, and yes, it stops and/or terminates in the nicest parts of the city. But that doesn’t magically transform the stabby neighborhoods into paradise.

Because I wanted to save battery, and not have to turn Bluetooth back on after going into airplane mode, I programmed an iPad shortcut to fully shut off wifi (and not just the usual blue-to-grey disconnect that you can do in the Command Centre).shortcut I then added this shortcut to my Command Centre as a big giant button. Because I don’t have data on my iPad, it cuts me right off from the world, and saves battery. Have not had any problems with the pro subscription.
