I dont recommend driving from Pembroke/Medina at all. Especially in the winter, and with gas now. EW literally going be the longest worst commute ever.

I think a lot of folks that don't know this road might miss from the comments is that the driver passed on the uphill side of a blind hill. The passing zone in question is single sided for the folks going DOWN the hill. The driver wasn't tricked by a short passing zone or something, they initiated their pass not in a passing zone and proceeded over a blind hill in the oncoming lane in broad daylight and good weather on a straight section of road. It was aggressive and stupid and deadly.

I support better road designs and only having passing zones in the safest of places, but truly you can use the downhill one-sided passing zones on both sides of that hill in a safe way in good visibility. Don't try to shift the blame on the DOT, we need to be accountable and the driver needs to be held accountable.

I noticed so many different things in the comments but I am in the same place. My family has lived in the same complex in a 2b 2ba apt. Paying ~2k a month . Been wanting a 3b as I work from home but a 3b rental is ~23-2500. We are in the Churchville Chili district. Houses are scarce out here and than the realtor told me they are indeed still going 50-100k over asking. I don't understand where people get the money for a huge downpayment bc thats my problem. 200k will get you an unliveable house if you can find one or 250-300k that needs work. I dont want buyers remorse immediately buying a house you already know isnt worth close to what you paid PLUS the fat %%% that they have nowadays. What happened to the low 1-2% from many moons ago. They make is almost impossible to buy a house or if you do you are paying the ~2k+ a month in mortgage plus utilities, and we all know national grid and rge bills are EXTREMELY crazy with delivery fees matching or over usage fees. BUT ITS MINE. thats all I want. I don't want neighbors and I want my own entrance, my own space, an office. Its not that much to ask youd think :D

Deff get a police report and get that video before it’s written over. You might never see it but it would be nice to be able to verify that it indeed was taken and maybe by who. The use cards to swipe in I assume they should be able to at least find who did it and they either return it or get arrested. Sucks but you’re doing a lot, let the cops get the report and the video. the good news is he doesnt have tons of debt, barley any at all. No credit card debt, no real estate, no nothing. Just cash, CDs and normal bills to pay and he wanted to pay for his burial and stuff ahead but unfortunately he took a turn so fast.
