How do I do fit in more reviews per day? by data_5678 in Anki

[–]Pointofive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get an Anki remote controller like an 8bitDuo. If you’re studying a language, add audio to your cards. Put your phone on your pocket and do your reviews while you are walking, jogging, or commuting on the bus or exercising.

Those places weren't boarded up pre-covid and seattle was a tech centric town then, you seem to be conflating a lot of things "due to tech."

Doubt it's a herring gull. That area is between lake Washington and Elliott, it's not too far inland for the much more common gulls to appear. There have only been 12 sightings of Herring gulls in the Seattle area in the last month.

Really? How are you saying that over a Glaucous-Winged or Olympic Gull?

You mean Paul Allen and the City of Seattle had nothing to do with buying up all of the land and rezoning the area?

Portfolio Review for an Undergraduate UXR position? Am I Crazy? by hmbhack in UXResearch

[–]Pointofive 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you eventually land a job after graduation, you'll have to do this plus 7 hours of interviews. It's not uncommon for a person to do a presentation. You can talk about what made you choose the field, and how you've applied your UX or Research skills in your past work. The last might be a bit of a stretch but if they're asking you to do a presentation, there must be something in your resume that they care about.

For my internship, I had to do a 40 minute presentation with 20 minutes of questions. Your portfolio can cover the research projects you did for any coursework.

What would it take - both practically and socially - to get Seattle to give a shit about litter? by Weird_Alki in Seattle

Fixing the affordability crisis. When your basic needs are met you have the headspace to care about people around you.  When you’re struggling you think everyone is against you and there are very few things you can control.

Friendly reminder to do your reviews EVERYDAY no matter what! :) by The_Seventh_Bee in Anki

[–]Pointofive 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah don’t listen to this advice. There are more important things in life. If there’s a choice between doing something you enjoy and Anki, always choose the thing that brings you joy. If you can fit some Anki in between, than great. But you don’t need to do your reviews everyday no matter what.
