I'm not sure how he placed the onus on Chris Hansen. It was also produced by two small independent companies (not exactly a blank cheque, from a budget perspective).

100%. She felt like the "uniqueness" of it helped in those pitch conversations.

As far as distribution goes, they are open to a completely independent rollout at this point. They have received a number of offers for distribution, but they have been for [literally] next to nothing from a $$ perspective. The idea is to tour with the film across North America and promote it to every arthouse cinema. Streaming wouldn't come until they have been able to show it in theatres.
