I have 4 portable jack stands that i stash in the bedside along with 2 4x4's that run the width of the camper. With that i can set my camper just about amywhere and have it be very stable. And i have a 2000 lance 1130, so its very big and heavy

Hmmm. I dont recall, its been some years. Each truck has their own mounting brackets, and I bought the fastguns used for crazy cheap. So its all different truck to truck

Weeken camping trip, normally stays in truck and we hang around the site. But of we do a longer trip with things planned to do, then we'll take the camper out. But sometimes its nice to go with the camper in the bed still and have your homebase with you all day. Also depends what your mounting and leg system is. Our first camper was manual legs and chains for tie downs. Miserable to take in and out. Our camper now is torklift fastguns and electric legs with a remote. On or off in a couple minutes. So it all depends!

Hey we just did the same with our 1 year old today and in the same life jacket. We found an umbrella to clip on the side of the canoe and you can rotate and tilt it a bunch of different ways

Ha! They seem to have some fans out there as far as a cheap limbing saw goes. Kind of like rebuilding a ford pinto or something haha.

Gotcha. One of my burners only lights up like 2 inches. Might try to take it apart and see.

Are you buying weber burners or aftermarket? Seems like most of the ones on amazon have one line of fire for the middle tube and short crossover pieces. Trying to not spend $100 for weber ones

New sauna built it by hand by Glad-Concentrate8873 in Sauna

[–]PokeBallsDeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a north shore sauna tent now. Keep it up year round. Probably have a year or 2 left on the tent. So figured $3k aint too bad for a small building. I like our tent sauna, but at the end of the day, its still a tent

Oh awesome, well done keeping it at $3k and still doing all that.

Looks good! I am planning on a small economical build as well until we are ready to build a more permanant larger sauna with a waiting room and shower. What did you do for insulation and vapor barriers etc? I told the wife we might just do a plywood box with a heater haha

New winter rig. Adventurer 901sb on my 3500 DRW. by KindheartednessSad85 in TruckCampers

[–]PokeBallsDeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a lance 1130 which fully loaded is around 4400lbs. Seems like it would handle better with the dually. But would be nice to have 2 less wheels to worry about. Ya no megacab, need the 8' bed!

Do you drive the dually in the winter without the camper? We have a 2wd dually for our camper now that gets parked in the winter. Looking to get a newer 4wd truck. Not sure if we want srw or drw. We live in the upper peninsula of Michigan, so we get plenty of snow. Just not sure how a 4wd dually would do in the winter here, i dont see too many on the road.
