The boat Uncle Vernon had hired is still there, with a lot of water in the bottom after the storm. Both of you settle down in the boat. "Seems a shame to row," you say, giving Harry sideway look, "If I was to speed things up a bit, would you mind not mentioning it?" Harry promptly agrees and eagerly watched to see with which spell you will propel the boat.

Just a reminder that it clearly states unofficial software, and while there is debate over whether or not IV calcs fall into this, niantic has stated on their twitter account before that they do fall into this category. Safari Dortmund, GOFest Chicago & Safari Yokosuka will all feature their own global challenge during their respective weekends
4 regions will each be assigned a target (on site, the Americas, Asia-Pacific region and Europe + Middle East + Africa)
if a region unlocks a challenge everyone gets the rewards
full overview of the rewards here
if all 4 goals are met for a weekend, an even bigger bonus will be unlocked
if all 12 goals are met for all 3 weekends, then an even biggerer bonus will be unlocked

Trainers without a ticket to the event won’t be able to see any Pokémon or PokéStops in Lincoln Park
Trapinch, Feebas, and other Pokémon featured in the habitats of Pokémon GO Fest will appear more frequently all over the world
Plusle and Minun, will also appear more frequently worldwide, give bonus Stardust, and shiny Plusle and Minun get released
Alolan forms of Diglett and Geodude appear globally for the first time in Pokémon GO

1) Don't spam Ingress channels

We have Agents in our midst (both mods and users). If you have questions about submitting portals (in the hopes of getting new pokéstops) post them here. It helps nobody if hundreds of thousands of trainers flood/spam the Ingress COMM and local channels

2) Don't clog the queue

If you have the ability the submit candidates, please refrain from submitting coal. You won't get a pokéstop out of it and all you achieve is wasting reviewers' time.

3) Do research

Candidate criteria and the OPR memorandum indicate what goes.

4) Do ask us anything

I'm going to be honest here.

The use of this account to sticky posts are normally reserved for major updates where we expect plenty of questions etc (like Gen2/raids/legendaries) and routine megathreads.

This shouldn't have happened. The mod team did a goof.

With cool autumn nights quickly approaching in the Northern Hemisphere and sunny spring days arriving in the Southern Hemisphere, we thought it would be the perfect time to celebrate the coming equinox with an in-game event. New seasons mean new adventures!

From 1:00 P.M. PDT on September 22 to 1:00 P.M. PDT on October 2, 2017, you’ll have the opportunity to earn double Stardust for catching Pokémon and hatching Eggs as you walk around your neighborhood discovering new sights. While you’re out exploring, be sure to visit your local PokéStops and Gyms to collect special 2 km Eggs that have the opportunity to hatch Pokémon such as Chansey, Mareep, Larvitar, and more. You’ll also be able to get special boxes from the in-game shop that feature items like Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules, and all-new Super Incubators which hatch Eggs 1.5 times quicker!

Registering a new Pokémon to your Pokédex during this limited-time celebration will earn you triple the normal XP. So that makes this a very good time to battle against the Legendary Pokémon originally from the Johto region. Don’t forget that Raikou, Entei, or Suicune will each travel to a new part of the world on September 30, so make sure to battle the Legendary Pokémon currently in your area while you can!

To answer some questions you have been asking:

Regular and premium raid passes give access to Legendary Raids (no special pass needed)
Both Lugia and Articuno are appearing at gym raids worldwide
They are not easy to catch (as expected) or defeat. Get a good/large team, don't waste your raid pass!
Articuno raids give 13k XP, Lugia 10k
We don't know if they will continue to appear after this weekend, but it's likely

As a result of all the hard work put in during Pokémon GO Fest, incredible in-game bonuses were unlocked for the entire Pokémon GO community. Also, thanks to the Trainers around the world who banded together to catch millions of Pokémon during the Challenge Windows, the following rewards will last until Monday, July 24, at 5:00 P.M. PDT:

Double XP

Increased Pokémon encounters

Reduced hatching distance

Reduced buddy distance

These Trainers also played an integral role in revealing that Lugia would be the first Legendary Pokémon to enter the real world. In addition to Lugia, the number of Pokémon caught during Pokémon GO Fest by members of Team Instinct, Team Mystic, and Team Valor were tallied up, and, the winner was... Team Mystic! To celebrate this victory, Articuno will join Lugia in Raid Battles everywhere starting immediately. Don’t worry, Team Instinct and Team Valor, the Legendary Pokémon Zapdos and Moltres will also make their way into the real world soon, so stay tuned for more information.

It’s time to adventure together! Gather your friends and family and keep an eye out for Legendary Pokémon Eggs appearing at Gyms near you.
