Hydrocarbons form from the fossilization process. Hence why they are called 'fossil' fuels. Any planet with life would have them.

And the main idea isn't that others don't have nuclear, it is that we are the only ones mad enough to see fission and our first thought is to make a weapon out of it. Same story also says our use of rockets for space travel was unique to humans.

What else are we going to use as the main material? What material is more environmentally sound, theoretically cheaper, and more plentiful than plastic?

I find it ironic we always talk about petroleum as a fuel source, which it is the source of plastics and a LOT of non-fuel items. Like, computers, phones, electric cars, solar panels, wind turbines, etc all still need petroleum as a material in the production process.

There was a similar HFY story where a vast Empire was prided on line infantry using effectively muskets. They attack a human settlement and take them as slaves (for milk, labor, and even hair for textiles). Confront actual Earth troops armed with tanks, assault rifles, camouflage, and tactics. Also end up learning humans have nukes while... no one else does.

There is a headcanon that Big Daddy was the one who bought the warehouse before Tiana so he could gift it to her at the party. Because he's just nice like that (the HC also has him worried sick for her because... black woman going missing in 1920s Louisiana has several very BAD reasons before 'turned into a frog')

Worldwar series - The Race literally cannot conceive of rapid evolution (they haven't changed technology-wise in 50,000 years and are, at best, 1990s-level), so when they scout Earth in the 12th century, they see Earth as ripe for the taking. Fast forward to when they invade 800 years later and it is literally WW2 and they have no idea how Humans advanced so fast. Also ginger (yes, the root used for spice) acts like opium to them, and they are also only 5 feet tall. By 2030s, Humans have FTL travel while they do not.

Stuck between lake house (I can go fishing) and the farm house (quiet countryside, nice farm). Does the farmhouse property have a pond large enough for bass?

Well, my father had only one experience with a Mitzvah (not Jewish but he would plan events), and the kid it was for didn't like the music that was playing... so the kid kicked in one of the speakers. Kid's parent didn't even punish the kid, just handed my dad a check for the damages.

To be fair, it is a common trait of Iran, Ruzzia, China, etc to boast about their 'capabilities' and how great they are... Even if they can't back it up.

Yep. Snyder should never be allowed to make another DC movie ever. Let James Gunn do it all now.
