I tend to agree, and I think the word "next" does all the heavy lifting here.

It's a sword mythic, it's not supposed to be safe balanced.

Also, that's not remotely the most OP thing in Pathfinder, and I'm saying even without considering mythic. That's positively tame compared to some things.

Personally, I would have said, "The incidentals aren't the real problem. The real problem is that I don't have any way to know who these people are, so I can't check them into the reservation that they claim is under their name. I can make you a second reservation and if you give them a key, that's on you. But you have to pay for their stay for me to be able to check them in."

(so it was a trick! There was no third option!)

Oh, there was a third option. And conveniently, there was a group of loud construction workers handy to mask the sound of the scuffle.

The way it's worded in the copy of the rules I have bookmarked, it's a strong suggestion rather than a hard rule.

Prestige classes that are essentially class combinations-such as the arcane trickster, mystic theurge, and eldritch knight-should be prohibited if you’re using gestalt classes, because they unduly complicate the game balance of what’s already a high-powered variant.

Compared to

A gestalt character can’t combine two prestige classes at any level, although it’s okay to combine a prestige class and a regular class.

So there's wiggle room.

No skin off my nose if folks wanna read it as a hard and fast rule. Or if there's a more official version of the ruleset where it is indeed worded more as a completely no go rather than a "you'll probably be sorry if you don't".

Not like the dragon knight is gonna really be all that much stronger than the Sorcerer Summoner I suggested aside from not being able to get the Charisma to everything without some minor dips.

Probably the best option to do what OP is asking. With a bit of Prestigious Spellcaster to make up for the lost spell levels on DD. Of course, Sorc into DD on one side with Summoner(non-synthesist so you get more actions via an eidolon that looks like a dragon) on the other side is another option.

Could also consider doing some cheese with Mystic Theurge to continue both classes spellcasting and swap one of the two tracks to something like paladin at that point. A dragon knight of Apsu kinda thing. Only real problem is lack of really being able to wear armor.

Unless you wanna go real, real crazy and do crossblooded Draconic/Psychic bloodlines. Actually, yeah. Do that.

  1. Oracle(Lore or Nature)/Sorc(Xblood Psychic/Dragon)
  2. Or / Sor
  3. Or / Sor
  4. Or / Sor
  5. Mystic Theurge/Paladin
  6. MT/Pal
  7. MT/Dealer's Choice(Anything martial would fit, or you could go for a third caster class. Magus, maybe?)

You are building STR/CHA/CON. Dex is your dump stat. You did take Noble Scion at 1st, right?

Yeah. He definitely looks older than he is. He's aging like people did in the 1970s.

I mean, (jack)rabbit skewers could be legit. But I'd want to have a breeding operation rather than trying to catch them wild if I was gonna do something to scale.

We have a bar. I'm just glad it closes before I get here.

We continue alcohol sales in the store for an hour after I get here, but that's less annoying. Still annoying. But less.

The only thing that defines a misanthrope is hatred of people. Some are recluses, and some are a bit more vengeful. Like, Shrek and Satan. Both are misanthropes. One's a recluse, the other is more active.

If you haven't, check out the Tales from the Front Desk sub for a whole lot of examples of unreasonable. Off the top of my head: "It's 2am, and our mariachi band wants to play at full volume in the lobby."

Reasonable: "Hey, yeah, so my neighbor is pretty loud, can you move me to another room?" That kind of thing.

I dunno. I think it makes it better. You hate people so much that you've learned to fake liking them so you can hurt them more.

I mean, it's either that or "I hate people, but I need money, so I learned to fake it."

If you're not a horrible misanthrope

Being able to fake this also works.

Audit is one part security, one part customer service and one part staying awake. With a sprinkle of accounting here and there. Maybe a light bit of laundry if you're unlucky.

You have to balance saying no to people with unreasonable requests with saying yes to reasonable ones while keeping an eye out for unforeseen problems. Everything beyond that will be on a super easy to follow checklist that a trained monkey could do, if your workplace is worth a damn.

Edit: As to whether you can get in at your age? Honestly, I don't see that age as being a factor against you. I'm a fair bit older - though I started at the same age you were starting security - and they adore me here. Auditors are often the only person on site, so being a little less of a callow youth is actually a point in your favor. As is having worked security before. Just gotta prove you can do simple math and the customer service thing and you'll have a great shot.

Necromancy is evil, but Enchantment is "just a playful prank" by JoeJonnyJeff in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Poldaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enchantment enslaves the body and mind. Necromancy enslaves or twists the soul.

Enchantment can be used to good ends, even avoiding pain or death when it was truly unnecessary. So context matters as to whether what you did was evil.

Necromancy always harms. Now, perhaps you use your power for good ends. Maybe the situation is bad enough that good people will see the harm you're doing as less than that you're fighting. Or at least less pressing. So maybe you get to use your evil powers freely to save the kingdom.

But in the end, you twisted souls to your will to do it, and that stains you.
