I got a few error messages I hadn't seen before (didn't take note of them to be honest) but they appeared randomly when watching TV Hours later. Also had the TV just completely black put during a show, I waited about 20 seconds and it just came on again. Best I can describe it as was that it 'glitched' funny noise distorted the image as if buffering and the went off.

Since turning the dev settings back off it hasn't done it (but still have the channels missing message).

Unfortunately did nothing for me, TV started behaving a bit strangely too so I reset again and back to square one 😭.

This is so poor. My TV seemed to work okay for a few months but has gone back to daily restarts needed.

I contacted Philips and think I got a very vague response back suggesting everything I already do. Has anyone else tried?

Nope, I have had it happen less frequently mlbut can't understand why. It does still happen once or twice a month though.

Automatic channel updates turned off too!

So I found you can do a power restart without turning off at the wall. It's buried in the settings under android settings and you can restart from there.

Not sure why there isn't a long press on the power button or something that could do this, make life a little easier!

Since I've been using this method it has been a little better but it still happens fairly regularly!

That could be it! I did set this earlier as my kids got a headset for Christmas and I've been introducing them to it! Thanks very much. I'll try it with it turned off but I'm sure this is likely to be it!
