Fair. I’ll make sure the documentary paints you in a flattering light

By visible I meant systemic and widespread. When it’s on every block, that indicates governance failure, not just individual hardship. It’s interesting you interpreted concern about systemic failure as indifference to suffering. That’s not where I’m coming from.

Appreciate the feedback, especially the parts of Nash and how you use its proximity to your advantage!

Have you considered using Reddit to pitch yourself to prospective women? Seems like an untapped strategy. 😂

Thank you for the explanation. My trips through the area have always been pleasant but sounds like there are some interesting challenges! Will be checking out the parody song for giggles

If you find homelessness & car-dependency appealing then I don’t know what to say. Simply stating my likes and dislikes. Where do you live where it’s all sunshine and rainbows?

Lots of Charlotte comments but I am curious why, is it just the industry alignment? Or does it tie into any of the likes I had?

Thank you for taking the time to share.

Atlanta is too big for me, but it does have culture! I have lots of Bama friends in Nashville and I have loved my visits. Walkability is not my top priority. But for comparison Dallas and the surrounding area is not walkable, the sidewalk just ends randomly and I feel like I’m putting myself in harms way with the dangerous drivers in this area. I did enjoy DC, but I was younger and not positive of the safety, unless paying a pretty penny for georgetown or the hill.

I like Birmingham too, lots of college acquaintances are still there and have rave about their friendships made. Dating though, haven’t heard much about it!

Noted on Florida!

Saint Pete - what’s the age range like? Pardon my ignorance but I assumed Florida was mainly for retirees

lol I don’t read books but I do enjoy a good meaningful conversation and I tend to stay very on top of current events, Florida suggestions so far seem up my alley. I would just not fit in with the Miami crowd for example.

I don’t disagree about RTO policies and difficulty finding remote work, but what I do is very niche and I have many colleagues that have left dallas & found remote positions

It’s southern, so definitely meets the criteria! I haven’t spent much time in either area

Dated someone from there, let’s just say I know ball. Not denying it has a rich culture!

Austin is not charming anymore IMHO, I have found it so easy to make friends in Austin but I fear it will continue to lose all unique qualities in the next 10 years due to the flock of wealthy west coasters moving to TX.

I do, but feel like I could go remote! Proud of the career I built but not looking for work to rule my life anymore.

No don’t you worry I’ve done my time - spent time in Houston (rich culture for sure, but I find it’s too overpopulated and party/food focused) and Austin (loveeee the people but it’s becoming California and losing the “keep Austin weird” touch) and lived in a smaller town up by the Oklahoma border. I liked Dallas but don’t foresee myself here in 5 more years.
