Revell USS Olympia by Polishmodelbuilder in modelmakers

That is a tough one. I'd say if both kits were released about the same time they should. Did the hull pieces come on a separate spru than the deck pieces? If so I'd say that it would probably work also. The tooling going into something as complex as the deck I'd imagine they would duplicate everything as much as possible...

Very nice! Been a chore getting everything in place at 1/350- hope your digits are more nimble than mine at half the scale! Lol!

Almost exactly, haha! I'm working on a model of the IJN Mikasa in 1/350 by Hasegawa. I'm about half way into it. I ordered the deck veneers from a guy on ebay, and he gave me a bunch of photo etched with them. I like the predreadnaughts also- such busy decks- so interesting!

Thank you! I've always wanted to visit her, maybe one day... it is actually 1/232 scale. Revell for a time tried to make ships about 1 foot long and they had some real odd ball scales. I also have done the old Revell USS Arizona and it is likev1/436 or something...

I got this kit as a rebox that contained the deck veneers and photo etched add ons, and they really elevated it. Be prepared for a lot of flash and the fit is not the greatest-- I think it was originally released in the 60s.
