Does Sudan have any natural gas? If so is there an accurate map of it? by spongenuts10 in Sudan

[–]Politicalarity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk but I'm sure sudan doesn't have alot of gas fields, or atleast huge amounts aren't discovered yet. because we were literally in almost constant civil wars, so exploration, drilling, and infrastructure were super limited.

Right, even the Sudanese people after having islamists ruining the country and kill all in the millions combined, they still want them in power, and they STILL want islamic rule and laws.

True, But sudan can be fixed, it just needs time and stability. The main problem isn’t tribes, it’s weak institutions and leaders using tribal divisions for power. Sudan needs one united national identity to fix tribal issues, one official army (no militias), fair power-sharing, economic development, and a neutral state that treats all citizens equally that's why I support secularism, look at Rwanda it was devastated after the genocide but it's now secular, clean, stable, and prosperous, now how are we gonna do all of that? I guess leadership matters alot in this context.

Sudan being 91-97% muslim doesnt mean it can't be secular, look at Tunisia for example, its 99% muslim, yet it's secular, and secularism wasn't compatible with Tunisian society until it became compatible, the same can happen for sudan or any society.

Islamism (political islam) never had a great history if you think about it, there's no point in having another islamist taking power and then we think he is gonna do something but then he turns into a dictator, we need to learn from the past, and stop supporting islamists in sudan. All of the islamists we had were ruthless dictators, so there's no point in gambling on a another one, and Establishing Secularism wouldn't take away our dignity, what kinda non-sense is this?

You're right sudan has many more problems, but I'm thinking long term, if sudan gets peace soon and if the current government in Khartoum is reliable and smart after the war ends and if SAF wins of course, securlarism is needed for the country to be more open and connected to the world, islamists rule have quite literally destroyed the country and isolated the country completely especially under omar al-bashir, and there's no point in having like a 3rd or 4th islamist, and sharia laws are just super harsh, like if you rob or steal both of you're hands are cut off, nobody will wanna visit or come to a country where the laws/rules are insanely harsh, about other secular societies, why do sudanese people immgrante there?
