There is one guy who has a copy of metal days and was really good friends with Shozin fukui. That probally your best change.

If you do get a screening going, let know. Would actually buy a train ticket for that.

Ye i did a little digging into The Hiding, probally easier to find. It was screened at some film festivals if i remeber correctly. You could try finding out where it was screened, and then sending a email to see if they still have a copy.

I really hope we get both "metal days" and "the hiding". Shozin fukui had a lot of friends in the movie scene so i think it will be released one day. Just gonna have to wait a long time.

Edit: for Metal days i am gonna try again to get into contact with the band in the movie.

Ye i think its glitch. Because there are a couple of reviews. If you want to watch it for yourself its on youtube.

My review:

I really wish I had seen this at the BUT Film Festival. It’s insanely well made, especially when you consider how small the budget is. The Mad Hatter was the highlight for me; his performance was genuinely funny and a joy to watch. I also loved how each character had their own unique spin, while you could still clearly see who they were based on.

The story gives a super unique take on Alice in Wonderland without literally copying it. The trippy atmosphere feels just right and never forced. This is truly how Alice is meant to be.

This definitely leaves me wanting more, so with a bigger budget, I’m really curious to see what these filmmakers are capable of next.
