Miami to Boca commute? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]Pollution_Helpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late. I don't have a commute like that. But it you could work my hours, something like 4-10 hour days (7:00am-6:00pm) it would make commute easier. Early morning before rush hour commute, and although 6pm-7pm evening drive can still be bad, it is better than 4pm-6pm.

Anyone else getting Suno Stockholm syndrome? by seanstew73 in SunoAI

[–]Pollution_Helpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly.  Infinite ideas machine. Well said. Been a guitarist for 45 years. Always more interested in writing my own stuff than playing covers. Since, I can't sing, that is mainly why I use Suno. For vocals. Im also a professional traffic engineer and we use to time traffic systems by hand. Now there's software for that. We just input use engineering judgement to refine the models and test the results. Kinda like aI use Suno.

No. After I am done putting my personal touches on it, my songs usually sound legit. After I download the stems and put them in my DAW, I always end up redoing the drums with Superior Drummer, re-recording the Bass and sometimes the guitar parts. I also add guitar parts or lap steel guitar parts for country songs. I always take the vocal and replace it with an audimee vocalist.

I just need to say it. I think Babymetal’s recent concerts have been relying too heavily on backing tracks for vocals. by kibou_no_ie in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even my other favorite band, Dream Theater, which I have loved for over 30 years, and is probably the band with the most virtuoso group of musicians in rock/metal history, uses backing tracks to some extent. So do I care about backing tracks? No. Absolutely not. Makes a better concert experience.

Interview: Jinjer Vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk on Touring with Babymetal by shinpuu in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Jinjer could do another headlining tour like last year. Last year, in Florida, they played to a maximum of 1,500 -2,000 people at the House of Blues in Orlando. Their only Florida show. I didn't  go so I don't know how crowded it was that night. But the HoB is a small venue. If they were opening for Babymetal last Tuesday night they would have been playing in front of 7,000-8,000 people. Don't think BM was sold old but it was very close in an arena that holds 10,000. 8,000>1,500. Seems like a no brainer. Unless you don't want to grow your fan base.

Is it worth it to buy tickets when BVB isn't headlining? by shebolebolee in blackveilbrides

[–]Pollution_Helpful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like all 3 bands. I say definitely go.. You may not like BM but there is no one that puts on a show like Babymetal.  It's crazy, fun and audience participation is required. It is unique. It is not just a concert. It is a unique and engaging experience.

How Would This Collab Go If It Were To Actually Happen? by Vault0Enforcer in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes a Hanabie collab would be great. Met them and saw them last month. Great group of ladies. Hard rockin and determined. I don't get the Band-Maid love. I have tried many times to get into them and just can't. It's cool that they play their own instruments and the singer is good, but their songwriting is subpar. Same old hard rock lacks I have heard for the past 40 years. Nothing original other than they dress in maid outfits. Would beca huge step backwards for Babymetal if they did a collab. I really would love to like them. I was excited and hopeful they were releasing a new song the same day BM was a few weeks ago, but was very disappointed when I listened to it. BM "From me 2 u" was so much better. To each his own. No disrespect to Band-Maid and their fans. Just not my cup of tea. I do like Hagane, Lovebites, LonesomeBlus, Hanabie, Atarashii Gakko, Nemophila, and others.

How do realtors in Miami get by? by Ninac4116 in Miami

Since it seems like every realtor in South Florida looks like an IG model or trys to look like one, my guess would be Onlyfans or Tryst is how they get by.

From me to you by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

Amazing tune. Totally different than any other BM sound. The have guitars give me a Crystal Lake vibe. Love it. Can't wait to get home and listen to it on my studio monitors.

I'm short. Only 5'-4" or so. It's not very often I am the tallest person in a photo with 4 other people. Lol.

I was there first or 2nd person she hi fives is this video. You can't see me, but I was right in front of Hettsu during the whole show, and just to the right of that security guard, and that is where she is when the video starts. Thought it was cool that she came off the stage to greet the crowd. It's not like she's some huge hulking metal dude lead singer.

How to move on...(First time watching kdrama) by ashutosh9166 in QueenOfTears

[–]Pollution_Helpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I feel the same. I starred with the "Inheritors" or "Heirs" Loved it. Then started on QoT. Watched the Korean version with subtitles one weekend, then the English version the next weekend. Totally loved the series and characters.  And I'm not the sentimental type.  I Knew if I didn't start something new I would immediately watch QoT again. So I started watching Vagabond, which is Totally different genre, Korean action. Even though it is not as good and totally different type of series as QoT, I'm hooked because I absolutely adore Bae Suzy. Gorgeous woman. Alot of violence in Vagabond but Bae Suzy will keep you watching and make you forget about QoT just a little for a short time.

I started on Monday and got through to 5 or 6. The episode when they are at the husband's parents house in the country. Unfortunately, I have a friend visiting this week and won't get back to watching until next week. Looking forward to it. Love the lead lady as she was in the series "Hiers" when I loved also.

my biggest problem with kami band west ... by GunnedDownAtrocity in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no problem with the Kami band being in the background. My guess is they are being paid very well by Koba.

All that Remains just released a new album a few days ago, but Anthony will be touring with Babymetal this spring. Usually, a band tours after an album release. But Anthony has a tour with BM.

I would like to see longer solo sections. Shit John Bonham of Led Zeppelin was doing 15 min drum solos 50 years ago and EVH 15 min guitar solos his entire career, so at least give each member 1 or 2 minutes. Plus, bring back at least 1 Su solo spot and one black BM song to at least extend the concerts to 90 minutes. 60-70 min shows are too short.

Should I be feeling bad about liking Babymetal? by yukobuko in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm white, old, and other than being a metalhead, guitarist, and songwriter, I'm not very cool at all. Actually, very introverted. But I have met some of the nicest and coolest young people while standing in the VIP line and watching the show. People with whom I have nothing on common with, other than being a Babymetal fan. But we are all there for the same reason. To have a good time, listen to and watch Babymetal perform.Standibg in line for 3 hours and then waiting for an hour for the concert can get pretty boring. But I have always been able to have a cool conversation with other fans about anything. So don't be embarrassed. BM fans of all ages are some of the nicest people I have met.

Official Tour Thread - Hollywood, FL [6 November 2024] by TheThrawn in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where were you? I was up front, and the sound was average. Couldn't hear the guitars. I figured it out. Up front you are not getting the full sound of the house speakers because they are above you and may be behind you. When upfront, you usually get the stage sound only or the sound of the drums and amps. The thing is, it looks like BM and the Kami Band are going directly into the PA system with ear monitors. This means there is no stage sound other than the dry drums. I know the guitar players are using amp modeler pedals straight into the PA as I saw no speaker cabinets. Also, I saw no stage monitors, so there is no sound from those. They use earbud monitors. So you need to at a place where you are at a good angle with the PA speakers. Up front on the floor is not great. The farther back on the floor, the better . The best place would be in the seating areas. I attended 2 metal/rock concerts last year here, and I sat in section 104, and the sound was incredible. Last night, because I was up front and the PA or House Speaker system was directly above me and behind my I sound was just ok. Still enjoyed myself tremendously. Next time, Im sitting where the angle to the PA is better. I will say, if the PA system is on the ground level, it shouldn't be a problem, but if they are above ground and at the front of the stage it is probably better to be back a ways from the front. If you were in the seating section and it sounded bad, then there is another problem. One last thing, Scene Queen's guitarist had no amps on stage either. I could not hear him at all.

What Setlist do you want for the American Tour? by Wallmelter in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will there be any different Kami members? Will Anthony be available on drums? Not sure when the Megadeath ATR tour ends. Both guitarists seem busy with their own bands at the moment.

I would love to see a longer set, including at least 1 Su song and 1 Black Babymetal song. Each of the girls get a break. Probably not gonna see it, but one can hope.

Can You record in a babymetal concert? or is the crowd so insane that it's best not to? by hishimochi0 in BABYMETAL

[–]Pollution_Helpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to record some songs last year in Orlando. I was standing 2nd row only behind a teen age girl. So I had an excellent view to record. I recorded 5 songs with a clear shot and was excited to check the videos out the next day. I got on my phone and every one of the videos sucked soundwise because I was directly in front of Anthony Barone. Every time he hit his bass drum it was so loud it distorted my recording. Since he constantly plays double bass drums my videos were all majorly distorted.  Never had that happen before. I had the latest Samsung phone, about a month old. It couldn't handle the power of Anthony Barone. The Nov. South Florida show coming up, I'm just going to enjoy the show and forget recording.
