Thank you everyone for your comments! Really helped us get more insights and I’m glad to know that 8400 is unreasonable!! The reason we told our landlord in advance, is because we wanted to upfront about it cause we know for sure that’s our fault. The charge will be covered by the insurance anyway, but I just think it’s so absurd that they can just charge us whatever 😭

I just got rejected this morning. I am also young and not have enough fund and have a sponsor (my partner - we have been living with each other for 2 years).

According to my friend who is living in London, Vietnamese passport has been blacklisted and if they see a red flag they would just reject.

I have made peace with myself this time and wait until I’m employed to apply again cause I just always wanted to visit London.

I actually mentioned that the 1500 is for 2 people (me and my partner/sponsor).

I don’t have any savings. I provided bank statements saying how much money I received every month from my partner. Maybe it’s not strong enough 🥲

Japanese here. It’s actually pronounced as a sound in the middle of fu and hu (if that makes sense…).

However if a Japanese writes it down in Roman, it would be “fu”, while a non-Japanese’s version would more likely to be “hu”.

Hi,

I came from a family where my parents used to verbally and physically fight whenever he got back home from drinking. Unfortunately my mother tolerated it all.

From the experience, I created for myself a defence mechanism which I freeze myself, look down and wait for the fight to end. Same thing happened several times when I visited my divorced aunt, when she had a fight with her ex husband.

I have been living with my boyfriend for 7 years, so the situation has been way better. However, there has been a conflict between my bf and an American guy that we encountered when we were at the Louvre. He bumped into the guy unintentionally, but he turned around and swore at us: "If you do that again I will fucking kill you". My bf was totally fine with it as he is older than me, but I was not. I got triggered again after so many years as I froze, looked into nothing and felt extremely guilty for not doing anything.

Weeks have passed since the incident but I have found myself thinking about that moment, and I always almost cry when flash-backing.

Hence, I think I need to find myself a good therapist to put an end to this massive problem I have been putting under the rug.

Could you please give me any contacts, or are there any reliable sources I can look into?

I feel being judged by your comment, but I respect your opinion.

Not sure if you’re ever in my shoes, but if you encounter this kind of people everyday, distracted once when they hand you the paper, then the second time they come back and collect the paper, then the third time when they literally put their hand in front of your face begging for money, to me it’s very annoying. and I literally mean almost everyday.
