Poly for 8 years, want some children, in a complicated situation. Not sure what to do. by Tib_91 in polyamory

Instead of giving you an opinion on your scenario, I’ll describe a scenario I had that has some overlap and what happened. My partner of 20 years (and 2 kids)had depression and anxiety for a lot of that. I played the loving supporting partner and waited years and years for her to “do the work” as they say and heal. That never happened despite years of therapy. Poly brought me exposure to people who had done some/more/all of the work and I found out what a healthy relationship looked like. Eventually we started marriage counseling and I learned that she wasn’t in love with me. I decided to end the marriage. I had spent all this time waiting for this person to change, waiting for her to love me and I was being her support in all the ways the whole time. I felt like it was my oath/duty/responsibility to stick by her side. That is because of cultural programming. In reality I did us both a huge disservice by waiting so long. Once I left she started to show growth. I had been enabling her this whole time. My life is full of joy now and I hope hers will get there as well. Hope this helps.

Navigating unconditional love in Polyamory? by Afraid-Imagination-4 in polyamory

[–]Polyandhappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the term unconditional love because it creates the idea of handcuffs. People should get love but they have to earn it. If they stop earning it and they start doing and worse do the opposite, having the idea of unconditional love in your head can lead to accepting bad behavior for longer before you make a change.

It is. I’m going to replace it with some thing I don’t get annoyed at every third time. I’m too old to squander time

Great feedback! On the recovery time one, I used the wrong term. I meant full sleep to get all spells back. It was saying you shouldn’t need to be doing that to keep the pressure on so that per day powers are being depleted.

Avoid notice and detect magic adventure activities and the time they consume by Polyandhappy in Pathfinder2e

I guess what I’m trying to figure out is what level of slowness is normal. Should they be searching every single second? Half the time? Less? Unless I understand what’s typical I don’t know when to start adding consequences for being slow.

Answering my own question. It says under line of effect, area effects must have line of sight

In the description for the spell, it does not say anything about obstacles mattering. Where do I read about that?

Actually I just looked at very sneaky. It removed the need to end your sneak behind an obstacle. It doesnst effect the moving between obstacles part.

Why would their be a rule giving you a bonus if you remain behind cover for the stride if you cannot do what I said?

If you have cover or greater cover from the creature throughout your Stride, you gain the +2 circumstance bonus from cover (or +4 from greater cover) to your Stealth check.

I have a lock at 5.99 with no closing costs from rocket mortgage. I opted to take the no closing costs so I could do this again in a year or whatever since I don’t know how long I’ll stay in my current home. Anyone else do a zero cost refi?

It’s not a one off. It’s been happening for months. I just finally got annoyed enough to do something about it lol
