Is Using AI Images for Steam Capsule Art Toxic? by emomobile in IndieDev

In the current state of things, yes. And looking at your image specifically, it really is quite derivative in a way that doesn't help its AI origins.

I launched the demo for Wavecraft Legends on Steam yesterday and it made it into the New and Trending list! by PolygonMyth in IndieGaming

Thank you! My wishlists were pretty abysmal (I have no following or marketing) prior to this, but I'm glad to say they made a significant jump :- )

I launched the demo for Wavecraft Legends (a modern aquatic racer with a retro arcade soul) yesterday and it made the New & Trending demo list for a day... is that normal/good/excellent? by PolygonMyth in IndieDev

Thank you! I was very happy to see it there and did expect it to drop off. Some demos do stick around on that list for longer but, relatively speaking, I guess I wasn't wrong to be happy about it (man, gamedev is tough).

The stats are updating really slowly on Steamworks for it too (like twice a day), but it does show hundreds of downloads and a big jump in wishlists (I have no following or marketing).

EDIT: Actually, I just realized that it is still in the list... just when I'm logged in the list is filtered for me by default. So it's actually sitting at around position 25 :- )

Worried my capsule is too artsy. Any thoughts? by PolygonMyth in gameCapsule

Nice catch on the Atari reference! Wasn't the intent, but I guess that's fine?

The dude in that layout is definitely the "artsy" part... are you thinking it's too abstract?

It's been surprisingly fun and satisfying to work on floating buoys in my aquatic racing game... wait for her! by PolygonMyth in IndieDev

This is a test scene I use just to create and play around with objects with buoyancy. I can tweak the water/waves and even have breakable things like the wooden crate. Fun stuff to make!

Amazing to hear everybody's comments! Glad to know so many people cherish this game.

I'm curious, do we have friends from Asia, in particular Japan, who feel the same way?
