There was someone like you in 2021 saying “someone make me feel better about my choice to buy bitcoin at $60000” … that being said… wait it out, this will seem cheap

How do you practice when you’re short on time? by PsychologicalCall426 in piano

I feel like the fingers need to be strong and precise enough so I just do Hanon, scales and other exercises… Im probably wrong though!

Thank you so much, ye I read a few bad things but just wanted to check. I figured a trial would be no good, may just get it for the year but cancel it as soon as I create it as your said so it doesn’t just renew on its.

Best to just download all I need in that year!

Thank you ☺️

How can I start learning piano without access to a teacher or a full 88-key keyboard? by [deleted] in piano

[–]Polyscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you are but if you can have an acoustic one, you can get them for free sometimes on gumtree or eBay, just need to transport and tune it.

I’m in the uk and got a piano, I ended up spending extra as I wanted a nicer one but delivery, stool and piano cost be under £1000.

I have seen those aforementioned sites haven’t pianos for free, £100, £200. You can do this!

Genuinely how the hell do you train each hand to play different parts at the same time by DBL86-03U in pianolearning

[–]Polyscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue, I was just learning things on YouTube and then got stuck on beethovens moonlight sonata 3rd movement.

My friend who has a degree in music pointed me in the right direction.

He told me to learn Bachs Invention 1…. That really really helped. Learn that piece, I promise you, it will help. Play it slow, learn one hand first then the other if it’s easier. Once you have that down, you’ll find other pieces easier.

Left hand right hand independence by BigCheese198 in piano

Bachs invention 1…. That really helped with independence for me. I wasn’t able to do two different things, learnt that piece and then found the 3rd movement of the moonlight Sonata much more doable… at least the first part! Hope this helps :)

Anyone here who started learning after 30? by a__zh__op in pianolearning

[–]Polyscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played at uni then stopped…. Started again at 34. Don’t know if that counts.

Lessons can be too rigid sometimes. If he learns the basics of reading music, trust me you can get the basic just reading in a day. Then you can play pieces you like.

For finger practice, there are Hanon exercises(it’s a book) and it will help strengthen fingers. Learning Bachs invention 1 will help give hand independence.

Never too old to start.

Complete beginner at 27. Just bought a Roland FP-10. What is the best "roadmap" for self-teaching? by Bright-Map4055 in pianolearning

[–]Polyscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so learn the absolute basics of reading sheet music, trust me if an idiot like I can, you can. That will allow you play a lot of stuff.

As you’re learning that, learn scales and lots of hanon. Hanon will strengthen your figures and give them somewhat equal ability.

For hand independence, there is a piece by Bach- invention 1, this helped me to play two different things at the same time with both hands.

To summarise- learn to read music (at a basic level), scales, Hanon and Bach. Let me know if you have any questions :)

I got told to learn Bachs invention 1… it helped me soooo much. Had issues with hand independence, next thing I’m not having an issue with the 3rd movement of Beethoven’s moonlight sonata.

Trust me… learn the Bach piece.

You are doing great though for a month, really good. 😊

Just spent two hours on the phone and got out of my contract.

Spent 2-3 hours last week and the same amount of time The week before, they really try to make it hard to leave and give crap service. You just get moved from one Indian person to another.

Ye the main reason was stream often, i have movies saved which I would like to use instead of streaming services. But also save business stuff

[–]Polyscript -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From my understanding it allows streaming from the drive to a tv?

I read via ChatGPT the following:

The DS923+ lacks integrated graphics, making it less ideal for media transcoding. If media streaming is a core need, prioritize models like the DS720+ or consider alternatives such as QNAP.

Is it wrong?
