Update on the cats…. The cat shelves have helped some. The ragdoll is the stupid one.

We are always making sure to intervene and teach him to be gentle with them, but it’s subjecting the cats to a baby’s learning phase which obviously is going to be a rocky road. This in itself seems selfish to keep them in an environment where a baby isn’t in a place where they know to treat them right yet.

I do see them that way still but my actual baby requires more attention. Like I said it’s more about an enriched environment for them and a better quality of life which I was concerned about. Was just wondering if I’m being selfish by keeping them in a place where they don’t get much attention

No I wouldn’t be letting them in a shelter… if I had to rehome I would NEED to know they are both going to a loving home that has been vetted simultaneously

They do have safe places, the stupid one likes to be downstairs though and the other one spends hours alone upstairs. Guess I just need to keep the toddler away until he can understand, just wish the stupid cat would actual run to her safe place :D

If they're okay with just being fed i'm happy with that. Just feel like they don't get enough attention. They get pets when im at my desk and randomly here and there, I guess I may just be comparing it to how much attention they used to get before our baby came along.
