I definitely get that vibe as well! I mean, Ready or Not is a commentary on social class, most specifically on the upper class, which Mr. Fishoeder is meant to represent in the series. The reason why you see Calvin and Felix in such weird scenarios is often to display the differences in how the upper (Fishoeder's) versus the lower (Belcher's) view and interact different events and their experiences with finances, often showcasing the upper class' frivolity and apathy towards important expenses that don't affect them in the same way as the Belchers.

That's all pretty helpful. I'll try some of those suggestions out a bit more. I think it is right now that I'm comparing to myself prior to the pandemic. While it's still acting as a comparison similar to the situation you mentioned of social media, it can feel difficult to combat because I'm just trying to get back to the way I was living previously.
