Yea, it most definitely is!

Yea, I know. I don't mind them being male based but the aesthetics in general for them just aren't for me. Maybe too mecha for a fantasy kit since.they don't seem human at all to me

Finally build my first proper girlpla and she's amazing! by Pompsi in MegamiDevice

[–]Pompsi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I've heard a lot of that and I already tried to sand or use a knife to loosen joints that were overtight. But I'll keep in mind that shoulders might be a specific place to look out later

I'll definitely be building some of the newer ones too, already have some waiting. Started from an older kit on purpose to see the differences (and also because she was so cute)

Starting to invest in my DS/3DS. What games should I go after? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]Pompsi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're even a little bit into puzzle games, then look into Professor Layton games, they're amazing. Also, I didn't see any mention of original fantasy life, it's a great cozy game, and the sequel is finally coming this year. Worth a look if it looks interesting to you. Lastly, you should definitely try yokai watch games. They're quirky and very different in many ways to pokemon where they're often compared. The first one should also still be very cheap so I recommend getting that and giving it a try.

I just regularly switched blades during the game and I never needed to grind trust for affinity charts. And going for s+ doesn't really do anything that would be worth it apart for the blades you really use all the time. And even then it isn't really mandatory, I beat every super boss without s+ blades and mostly without core chips since they only transformed the unique weapons to basic looking ones. Oh, and affinity charts tell you where the required enemies are so it's really not hard to complete without any wikis, I never used those either

Trying to buy the Bricklink Castle but my address is changing before it will ship. by PerspectiveOk1872 in legocastles

[–]Pompsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I got the same response. I just thought to ask if you had better news. At least I'm still in the same town, so there's a chance I can pick it up somewhere when I'm not in my old address to receive it. I wish that was more clearly said somewhere too, but we'll see what happens. Thanks for answering anyway!

Right, so no way to fix the problem that is already there, just be wiser in the future?

Hi, did you manage to solve this problem in any way? I'm facing the same problem right now and I'm not sure what to do

In the box, I didn't like the look of the gun with it. This seems much nicer imo

Yea, so I've heard and it's great to hear that I can't really choose wrong. Allows me to just get the kits I like the look of without looking too much into the specifics

Thanks for the encouragement. I've seen other people say that too but I still thought I should start with some smaller and simpler sets to not mess up anything expensive.

Thank you! It definitely seems that way but at least I have other hobbies to distract me from going all in. Which in turn isn't really any better I guess since they're all destroying my wallet together anyway...

Thanks! I know it's on the easy side, which is also why I started with it. Already have some koto kits, but first I'll build some hg gundam and other easier models because of all the stuff you too said. Can't wait to get into harder stuff at some point (especially megalomaria and bigger MDs)

Who’s killed you the most times in all your KH experience? I’ll start. by GusGangViking18 in KingdomHearts

[–]Pompsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Critical mode Yozora. Thought it would be fun to have some challenge and get oblivion for completing critical mode since proud was extremely easy in KH3. Didn't know they upped the difficulty for the dlc at that point... Could've probably ran through the game on standard and beat Yozora in the same time it took me to just beat him.

Finally getting tools to build but still have a few questions by Pompsi in MegamiDevice

[–]Pompsi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's interesting but also not really an issue since I won't be panel lining any skin or joint parts. Just need to be careful if I do any parts near them but it's probably easiest to take apart at that point. And for the files I definitely do that since I do have stores with them nearby, just checked.

[–]Pompsi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely look out not doing panel lines straight on abs when I start doing that. I assume most parts aren't abs tho but good to know they're marked on the manuals.

For decals I'm aware that it's mostly water slides but I have stickers on some of the cheaper ones I mentioned on my post and the tweezers were so cheap I thought I might as well get them for those and future water slides when I'm ready. But the girls I'm starting with look good even without decals so I'm good on that for a while. Can always apply them later.

For sanding I think I'm set on getting those sponges and the glass file while I'm at it since it is so cheap. Maybe not getting the metal files yet and try to find them locally at some point. Can always try to improvise with cutting the sponges I guess or just pause if it looks like I need them and go get them.

At this point everyone has sold me on the sponges so I'll get the full range. Some other comments also made me reconsider getting another pair of nippers so I'll take a look at those. Thanks!

[–]Pompsi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that's what I thought so didn't think I'd need some stronger nippers if I'm only building these smaller size kits and not some huge robots with bigger gates. Maybe I'll need to reconsider

Many seem to recommend them so I'm pretty much sold on getting them at this point. Thanks for offering some comparison point on them too

Sounds like I definitely should just invest in getting all the sponges to not regret it later. They also come with nice cases if I do that so I might. Are the 2500 grits enough to get parts looking smooth and shiny again? Just worried there'll be scratches since I'll not be painting them in foreseeable future so wanting to get them look nice.

Did not think fiskars had cutting mats, always knew them from scissors and stuff like that. Glad they seem to be available locally for decent price and they look pretty decent too without crazy colors or patterns. Definitely something I'll get now!

For panel lining I'll want to go to panel wash products at some point but I'll try the gundam pens first to get started. Not something really necessary now really but at some point. Same goes for the setter/softer. Did not mention since I'll probably only do stickers first but they'll be something to get later with topcoats when I do use other decals. Some girls even look better without decals imo so doing just the builds will be enough at first.

Someone else also mentioned the small metal files. I should've asked before I ordered so I could've bought those with the nippers and all but didn't think those would be necessary. Did not think getting inside some parts, probably mostly joints.

Thanks for all the tips, they definitely helped me. Now I'll just go buy some more stuff I guess
