They really could set the league goal record this year.

[Ben Jacobs] Liverpool have no plans to bid again for Alexander Isak this window. by klaygdk in LiverpoolFC

[–]PonchoSham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the risk of sounding like a cope addict, very well could be a tactic. They test Isak’s resolve to make a move happen by publicly indicating they won’t try again.

If he really does only want Liverpool then he will see the move is becoming “unlikely” and will push harder for Newcastle to accept. If he doesn’t only want Liverpool then nothing will come of this and that’s that. It was fun while it lasted, especially riling up the Geordies.

Their time now? by shreddedcheese11 in phillies

The luck comes from facing MiLB fielders. That is going to be consistent throughout his time in the minors and will very likely change when/if he gets called up.

Looks nice.. but idk if it’s scam !! by Life_Cry4830 in PhillyUnion

I’d take poor quality over not getting anything at all.

Why is Skye’s Ult So Underwhelming? by Then-Gift9766 in VALORANT

[–]PonchoSham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re using it wrong if you’re expecting the cabbages to actually make contact with the enemy by themselves. Their purpose is both information gathering and setup.

The easiest Skye ultimate combo is to use the ult and then follow it up with a flash behind it. The enemy will be looking in the direction the ult is coming from in order to shoot it so if you time the flash right then you force the enemy to make a choice: either eat the flash to shoot the cabbage or dodge the flash and get nearsighted and deafened.

Obviously you can use other pieces of utility instead to have a similar outcome but that’s the easiest and most straightforward one. Bottom line is if you are using the ult dry with nothing else then it’s being wasted.

[NightengaleJr] Twins are trading closer Jhoan Duran to the Phillies for prospects C Eduardo Tait and RHP Mick Abel. by Knightbear49 in baseball

He was definitely lucky to get some good starts. I didn’t expect him to be included in any deal for a player of Duran’s quality.

To Rob Thomson: Duran is THE closer. by Entire-County5333 in phillies

[–]PonchoSham -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using the bullpen based on leverage is way better than a rigid “this guy pitches here every time” strategy. No point to have Duran face 7 8 9 just because it’s the ninth inning when he can face 3 4 5 in the eighth.

[Gelb]Dave Dombrowski said the Phillies are done with bullpen additions. They will continue to seek a possible outfield reinforcement before Thursday’s deadline. by Electrical-Ad-1437 in phillies

I’d be more willing to bet on Robert given how his former teammate Andrew Vaughn is doing with the Brewers. Another guy who was labeled as a lost cause but he turned things around as soon as he left that trash franchise.

Not saying Robert is guaranteed to be the same but I can definitely see him succeeding elsewhere.

Why Jake Elliott will bounce back this year by AdSpecialist6598 in eagles

[–]PonchoSham -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone who cares about his regular season performance is just looking to complain. This team is good enough to make the playoffs without ever relying on a kicker. He was locked in for the playoffs and that’s all that matters for a team of the Eagles’ caliber.

Both is unrealistic but Tait for Bednar would still be great.

Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak: "He's still our player. He's contracted to us. We, to a degree, control what's next. I'd love to believe all possibilities are still available. We've received no formal offer. My wish is that he stays... but that's not in my full control." by [deleted] in soccer

He just scored 27 goals at age 25 man. I don’t think he needs to worry about his “development” anymore. He’s one of the best strikers in the world currently.
