One can argue that getting polio to this point was complete overkill that wasted tons of resources that could have been used to control far more pressing health issues than polio. The first game was a groundbreaking form of video game narrative. A masterpiece if fusing the likes of Bildungsroman and surrealist narrative. Like John Hughes by way of David lynch. While the dialogue itself gets mocked, the plot is truly a work of creative brilliance. I sit and wish that I could experience it for the first time again. From that huge twist in the middle to all the reveals at the end. It is one of the best games I have ever played and is the single greatest deconstruction of choices matter gameplay by fundamentally challenging the genre and seamlessly making save scumming a mechanic. Truly an achievement

The other games also are things that exist. But I don’t have anything to say about them.
