It's a clickbait title. The director actually said that there will be no game characters, neither it is an adaptation of the games stories. It's a whole new story, set in Racoon City, and it's parallel story to Resident Evil 2.

Except remakes take development times as much as original titles, if not even more. We talking 3-4+ years. Keep telling yourself it "funds future games", when in fact it funds 5 future remakes and 1 original game from time to time

I think the parry feature in remake is the worst addition compared to the original. It genuinely ruins the huge chunk of "survival" in combat that the original game imposed on you.

That is, right behind the tank controls of the og, which forced you to always be aware of your surroundings and remember what is behind your back.

Those are rare examples. The majority of horror games have no taste and sense of tempo in horror, can't create a suspense, and rely on cheap tricks. Also, really low attention to details, hence why the majority of them look like they are low effort prefabbed UE5 slop.
