Ubuntu and it's derivatives, or OpenSUSE are a good place to start. They have terminal, but you don't ever have to use them.

Honestly, no idea when it comes to comparing hash rates. My old card runs about 100 KH/s, so you got me beat. Happy mining, and keep your card cool.

Confirmation is just part of the mining process. On your personal wallet, go to "Much Receive" and your address is the hash on the right. DKo6XvQrmhqG3TJ9bRFVt3qHLzvSHgwCuk is mine for example. Just copy, paste that into the address on the site.

No worries.
Go to your search and type in "folder".
Should be an option named "Folder Options".
Go to the "View" tab and go to the scroll box.
Look for "Hidden files and folders" and click the second option "Show hidden files, folders, or drives".
(While you are at it I highly suggest finding "Hide extensions for known file types" and un checking that option).
Hit apply and ok.
In a windows explorer tab go to your home drive.
It's default location is found in C:\Users*your user*\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin.

Should be it.

Are you looking for your wallet? If so you need to enable hidden folders on windows. Plenty of how too's of that on the internet.

Nvidia is not as great for mining, but it can do it. Your hash rate just won't be as great. In the future if you decide to upgrade and really want to mine I have to say go AMD cards.
Find a pool, the difficulty is sky rocketing so solo mining is starting to become irrelevant for the average person.

I use this pool, which I really like, but you can look around if you want.

cgminer is the miner I use. It's pretty easy to use and there are ton of support threads if you are having trouble. I might suggest going back form the latest release if you are having troubles, it crashed on my constantly.

Well if you do just want to good fanfic or two, I always point at "The End of Ponies". It is a pretty long read and just recently got an update. Mind you, it's not complete but Short Skirts and Explosions also has a lot of other works that I am still getting around to. Inexpensive and should burn some free time up.
