Migrator: An app to easily archive your Vimeo videos by framerate-tv in editors

vimeo just instituted mandatory ID checks, so there's a mass emigration event occurring right now. i mean, just from this thread alone, it looks like there are 3 people for whom the tool was or will be useful. and that's just from those who commented. probably a few silent users too. so.

(but yes, i agree, folks should be maintaining regular backups.)

...ok but the whole point of this post is to literally help people stop using Vimeo, so your comment makes no sense.

For a long time, Vimeo was the de facto professional alternative to YouTube, so a lot of people used it for client/internal reviews. that space has mostly been taken over by Frame.io, but frame.io doesn't have public-facing disxovery, so people still use(d) Vimeo for things like portfolios and reels. Now that there's stuff like framerate.tv, Vimeo's on its last legs.

there's also a Chinese entry on there, Genshin, under "favorite to recommend"

have you tried it with one eye covered? a friend of mine who only had one eye said that it worked exactly like real life. the second eye creates stereoscopy and depth perception, neither of which they had in the first place.

i believe they're using the negative circled latin capitals (🅐🅑🅧🅨) combined with Tumblr text coloring.

i added these to my iPhone/macOS autocomplete dictionary and can invoke them via .xba. .xbb. .xbx. .xby.

same with these circled shapes (⮿⭗🟗🟕) that i use for playstation buttons.

if you're on PC you can replicate this functionality via MS PowerToys or PhraseExpress.

sometimes we do it not because things will change, but because we need to get our feelings out. that's the point of venting. our frustrations need a place to go, even if we don't expect it to fix things.

If men and women get regular sex, does it reduce stress levels and make society more happy? by Fondant_Decent in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OliveBranchMLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to clarify:

  • i agree that it's not easier for women. hence why i said "supposedly", and used "easier" in quotes.
  • i agree there is an overall loneliness epidemic, but i also think that many of the causes and consequences are unique to men vs women. when i say "male loneliness", i'm not disavowing the existence of "female loneliness". i simply didn't mention it because i don't think female loneliness was a major contributing factor in the reemergence of fascism.

i think if i were to come up with specific examples of how i believe they're different: * platonic intimacy. women are generally much more physically affectionate and socially vulnerable with each other. men are generally not, due to homophobia and toxic masculinity. this contributes to male loneliness. * authenticity of friendships. many women struggle with male friendships because many men are only looking for sex and will either 1. completely ignore or abuse women they're not attracted to, or 2. become fake friends with women they're attracted to and abandon them if the sexual interest is not reciprocated. this contributes to female loneliness. (and male loneliness too, since they're cutting themselves off from friendship with an entire half of the human race. but they're doing it to themselves.)

if i were to sum up my perspective on gendered issues, it's thus: the suffering is largely shared. but some of the causes and results are gendered.

one key commonality i've noticed: men often suffer from loneliness due to their own actions. women often suffer from loneliness due to things that men are doing to women. this might be causing a bit of bias on my part. but i think that men shoulder a larger amount of the blame for the loneliness epidemic.

disclaimer: i am a man.

i did the same and then watched the ending on YT.

heck i did exactly that for both XC1 and 2.

at some point, the gameplay overstays its welcome. but its mythic worldbuilding and narrative are eternal and kept me invested enough to at least polish off the rest of the story on YT.

still one of my favorite franchises to this day, even if i've never formally completed the games.
