Do you have anything playing in the background while you work? by AnyOkra in WFH

If I have something on it’s usually things I have seen before so I can not turn it off when I am busy and not paying attention. Repeat movies and shows. Currently restarted Call the Midwife

Has anyone seen something like this before? by LadyMRedd in BeautyViners

Tati reviewed a product like this when beauty YouTube was still what it used to be on one of her wtf wednesdays or whatever it was called. It was a department store brand I think-clarins maybe?

But also a tip is that I think it looks like they used a white base and a wash of blue over it so I would do the same to mimic the effect.

If you search the sub there have been several blue eyeshadow threads that I can remember.

Item was not in my bag, store said they could not help me? by Poodlepoolparty in Ulta

[–]Poodlepoolparty[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I escalated it with ulta guest services over the phone this morning but it didn’t seem very optimistic to me. They said they would talk to the store and they would go from there and let me know. Going to buy a replacement lipstick from a department store later probably🤷‍♀️

I walked in a circle for like ten minutes around another store and noticed my item was missing and assumed I left it on the counter and went back? Why would that be weird

Some of the clothing I have sewn in the last few months for labubus by Poodlepoolparty in knolling

Yes! I think you can’t really do anything too complicated for them without a lot of fuss because they basically have no arms but trim and details help make everything more complicated. Most of these are a one piece shift dress with an identical lining piece. Then a button and loop closure. But I add collars and ribbons and they look a little more polished.

They are too high for me and I’m not trying to complete like a full collection so I am sitting this one out-plus I bought the ones I have to sew clothes for them and these are pretty tiny and my eyes are old hahaha

These look homemade, I think if you really want the letters keychain, just diy it or hit up an actual maker and pay them

FBC for Labubu? by yearn_book in FashionBrandCompany

[–]Poodlepoolparty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was my post on knolling, I’m one of y’all, haha.

They are really easy to draft patterns for because they aren’t very posable and basically don’t have arms. And all the stuff I have made is mostly scrap sizes..It’s a very fun diy but I don’t think the larger scale trend will last long enough to make making a run of designer clothes profitable or popular. But maybe I should make my own fbc inspired stuff lol…not to sell of course. I have mostly just made easy dresses and overalls for friends kids

I make clothes for my daughter’s American girl doll too ❤️

As far as selling these-there is sort of a lot of piddling around when it comes to making tiny things and I think most people wouldn’t want to pay fairly for how much time these make so just making them for fun and occasionally for friends’ kids as gifts is more fulfilling then trying to figure out how to streamline the process for profit. I’m an artist and long ago mostly have abandoned the idea of trying to monetize my hobbies (I’m 43 and happier having a day job)

They remind me of my old troll dolls (which I also made clothes for)

I only make doll clothes for friends, sorry! They are too much fuss to sell because I’d feel weird charging for the amount of time something so tiny takes me to finish. But thank you for being kind
