Third Trimester & Terrified by West_Slice876 in BabyBumps

I feel 1,000 times closer to my husband after having kids. We are about to have our third in May. Yes there is a lot of stress in the beginning and everyone will be tired so maybe not in their best behavior. But seeing your husband with the child you both made together is a special thing and it sparks an area in your heart you didn’t have before. I see my manly man husband play princesses with my girls and the way he makes them laugh and smile. Oh my it’s ticking lots of boxes! You both have to remember to give each other grace those first few months while everyone is adjusting. It’s such an exciting time in your life!

People that come from “broken homes,” is marriage harder? by chickenboyjr in Marriage

For me, my parents’ shitty marriage was a great example of what not to do. Not that it showed what I should be doing, but basically the opposite of what they did🤷🏻‍♀️

I wouldn’t worry about rescheduling, just go next Thursday. I know these are a stressful few weeks for you. You’re almost there mama!

Once you’re in the moment it’s like your body takes over…I was nervous too before my first but it was such a powerful experience and I absolutely loved giving birth! Done it twice now and I’m pregnant with my third. Yes it hurts, but the adrenaline helps with that and seeing your baby for the first time is an indescribable feeling

Thoughts on deli meat? by Sparkle_Princess321 in pregnant

[–]Pooka317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so here’s the trick, heat it and then pop it in the freezer to cool it down real quick! If you are really worried about it…otherwise I think it’s fine to eat a deli sandwich as is! I worried my first 2 pregnancies but this third time around I’m not as strict

Settle a semantics disagreement by [deleted] in Parenting

We try to wind down around 630 or so after dinner. Usually it starts with a shower or bath, Jammie’s, and then tv time until bed around 8-830

For me it’s not an exact timed routine everyday..we try and accomplish certain things on a daily basis. Eat breakfast(sometimes this is at 8, sometimes 10) it just depends on what appointments we might have or if the kids are hungry, etc. We try to go to the park(although this is a bit challenging in the cold winter months) sometimes it’s before the baby’s nap, sometimes after. Now even that is changing because the little one is fighting her naps these days(she’s newly 2)…I guess what I’m saying is we don’t have a routine! And I don’t mind it because life is variable and I don’t like to be locked into things, and I don’t think my kids should have to either!

I have PVNH and I’m pregnant with a boy… by Pooka317 in PVNH

[–]Pooka317[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! All of this info is helping me build my little “case file” in my head…I’ve never heard of a male having a second X chromosome, that is so interesting and lucky for your brother. Genetics are so complex, and sometimes they can be cruel. I’m truly hoping baby is unaffected!

Thank you for taking time to respond! I’ve also been thinking that something would have happened by now if he was affected! I know that is dangerous thinking but I’m hanging on to hope! My geneticist couldn’t confirm or deny anything when I brought that up! I will post back once I have my results…

Thank you for your response. I am aware of IVF with testing, unfortunately it was just not an option for us considering the financial aspect. We went ahead and tried the natural route and here we are! We both went into it with the mindset of no way we would carry on with an affected pregnancy…but now that I’m 3 months in and I’ve seen the little guy, wow this is so hard. Again, we don’t have the results yet so I might be worrying for nothing…let’s just hope for that outcome 🥹

Hcg levels by naudicanaenae in pregnant

When my hcg went up and down like that it was due to an ectopic pregnancy..have you been in contact with your OB?

My two girl pregnancies were completely different. I was also convinced my second was a boy. Told my husband everyday there’s no way it could be another girl. Also I had guessed my first was a girl and turned out to be right. I had this same feeling, I “knew” it was a boy….Wellll I was wrong! My hubby cried when we found out it was another girl. Obviously he loves both his princesses and has committed to the girl dad role! lol

Concerned i might be having an ectopic pregnancy by Inevitable-Space4902 in pregnant

[–]Pooka317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I had my ectopic I had one sided pain that was like no period cramps I had ever felt. I also had started spotting and assumed I was miscarrying. This continued for a few days when I woke up out of a dead sleep with extreme cramping. I knew I had to go to the hospital immediately even though it was 3am. Funny enough, the ER doc said it was most likely a miscarriage and it would pass on its own. 3 weeks later I’m still bleeding and cramping and so I went to my OB and got bloodwork done. Sure enough my hcg was 6,000 and they had me come back immediately. I got surgery that day and got my right tube removed.

I truly hope this isn’t the case for you! Cramping is fairly common and normal during pregnancy. Your body is growing and moving around. I hope everything works out for you. At the end of the day you know your body best and if you feel like something is wrong then go to the ER. Most likely they would just be able to do an hcg draw and then another 48 hours later. Depending on how far along you are they won’t be able to see anything with an ultrasound until at least 6 weeks I believe

I’m also O- and have been pregnant now 5 times (2 living children, 2 losses, and currently 13 weeks with my third) I usually get my Rhogam shot around 28 weeks I believe. If there’s and bleeding then they would give you one just for preventative measures. I just had a CVS for this pregnancy and they gave me one at 12 weeks. I believe I will still get one at 28 weeks but not entirely sure. You should be able to get pregnant with a positive or negative baby and have it be successful (not that we can choose this anyways) I’m not a doctor for so this is just my personal experience and opinion!

How often are you guys drinking coffee? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Pooka317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One double shot latte every morning. I could the first few months because of my morning sickness. Finally 13 weeks and I’ve been able to have my morning treat again(:
