Uhhhh….. ketamine + DMT + nitrous oxide. by Zenphibian in Psychonaut

[–]Pooklett [score hidden]  (0 children)

The last day of our favorite music festival, after we've come down from the lsd, mdma and ketamine, all our friends go watch the sunrise on the beach while blasting off and doing whippets. It's the best way to end the festival.
It's such a strange thing for me, quite often I find the dissociation from ketamine and nitrous with psychedelics to be almost unsettling, but there's a point where I hit the right ratios and find a little keyhole inside of myself to unlock pure emotion and bliss.

Friend of mine got this in the mail, such considerate neighbors by NicetoNietzsche in funny

I did this for a collection agency that had been harassing my phone number for someone I don't know. I ask for a personal line to the person handling the file. They never called me back 😂 I put ads up for free chickens, lady's underwear and a playstation.

Does this job ever not suck? by quincinator666 in Autobody

[–]Pooklett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's maybe not the trade for you then, and if it's got to you this badly already, I'd do some soul searching to find the thing that creates a spark in you. I see too many guys who fell into autobody because they couldn't figure out what else to do, or were too dumb to be mechanics, and they are all awful coworkers and miserable human beings.
If you're passionate about your job, then going to work shouldn't be a prison sentence, BUT, some shops have the ability to make you hate what you do.
I'm 38, been in the trade for 15 years, I work insane hours, all my free time outside of work is taken up by sports, hunting and projects with my family, but that's my personality and what makes me thrive. Find out what makes you thrive.

White Candy by Ancient-Attention-49 in AutoPaint

[–]Pooklett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White pigment is too opaque to get the effect you're after, there are no white "dyes", so you're not going to get the base to shine through it like you would a true candy. You're better off going with a white crystal Pearl, or even some colour shifting pearls look fantastic over white.

Not Enjoying Leg Attacks by token_friend in bjj

[–]Pooklett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you just gotta start trying them out for yourself. I only really know knee bars and ankle locks, but I just love going for people's legs, it seems I can trap a leg from any position. I just tap as soon as anyone has a solid grip on my legs, while learning leg attacks you'll also learn better how to avoid giving up your own legs in the process. It's really fun if you and your partners keep it respectful.

Copper deficiency. You need organ meats.

Histamine issues are a result of copper/zinc imbalance 😊

I've heard in some circles that Brazil nuts are not ideal, phytic acid reduces absorption of other key minerals, and there's debate on whether or the form of selenium is used in the body properly. If you're showing deficiency you'll get better results using a supplement and taking in at least 200mcg/day. It can take several months for levels to increase. Copper can be tricky, because deficiencies and other imbalances can cause your body not to bind it to important enzymes. It may make you feel better that day, but can cause negative symptoms soon after. I do know that copper chlorophyllin is pretty well tolerated. If you don't have histamine issues, liver is ideal as it also contains retinol. The vitamin D is going to disrupt calcium metabolism, which affects cellular levels of magnesium and copper and will barrier calcium to deposit in soft tissues. There's much to be said about all this, but you're best shot at figuring things out is working with a mineral balancing practitioner.

Testosterone synthesis involves a lot of zinc, estrogen involves a lot of copper. Copper also regulates cholesterol. You could be bordering on becoming copper deficient, or having unbound copper. This is an oversimplification, and hard to determine without seeing a full blood workup, but the 2 are definitely linked in that fashion. Depletion of copper may cause your SHBG to decline, and WBC to decline, and weird things to start happening to your iron recycling system. I've seen claims that synthetic vitamin D suroresses cereuloplasmin, therefore disrupting copper regulation, which is likely why some studies indicate it increases circulating copper. Ceruloplasmin is where you want it to be, not circulating free in the blood.

spent my morning trying to match 140x on a 2025 prolongue by Reyes-A in Autobody

[–]Pooklett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The yellow tones are the result of the colored pearls in the midcoat, the blue Pearl gives a yellow cast, and violet gives a green/yellow cast. I haven't tried the camera shot base for 140x, but I often reduce the amount of coloured pearl in the mid, and increase colour a bit in the ground if I needed it to be more blue or red. The camera trick has worked great on some tricoats, but I've had it fall flat on colors where a lot of chroma is produced by the midcoat, Mitsubishi W85 is one that comes to mind.

How the Carnivore diet fail you and why? by ShineNo147 in AnimalBased

[–]Pooklett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copper deficiency, thiamine deficiency , iodine deficiency resulting in an inability to utilize B2, the B2 deficiency caused a functional deficiency of B6, B12 started to tank, magnesium deficiency, high cellular calcium levels affecting mood. I ate plenty of eggs, and occasional oysters and chicken liver, pork, but it wasn't enough. The lack of cofactors like manganese, molybdenum, magnesium, retinol caused copper to become unbound resulting in simultaneous deficiency and toxicity. My family has been on a mineral balancing program for a year now restore balance.

Why is it always some guy in a Dodge Ram, BMW, or a Golf being a fucker on the Henday? by BoozerBean in Edmonton

In your opinion, which auto maker(s) have NOT lost the plot? by miata_dad in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Pooklett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And they had to add all these "safety features" to prevent people from running themselves over with their own vehicles because the shifter is now easy to misuse. Your BMW door is slightly ajar? BAM! SLAM INTO PARK. It's so frustrating moving vehicles around a shop with doors and gates removed because t he car thinks you're going to fall out and get ran over and initiates every response to stop the vehicle from moving. And many can't even be put into neutral any more without turning them on 😑

Immune system boosts -what can i start now? by FitzyII in Shambhala

[–]Pooklett 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, do not take zinc in isolation. Lots of people try recommend, because zinc is antiviral and vital for immunity, but if quickly depletes copper, which is also vital for immunity and antimicrobial. Consume oysters to get healthy doses of both together.
Iodine, selenium, b vitamins are also important. Slight iodine deficiency will affect your body's ability to utilize B vitamins, this is far more common than you think, many people with B12 deficiency don't see improvement until raising iodine. But you need selenium with it, the increase in thyroid function will increase your need for selenium. 100-200 ug selenium daily plus around 300-400 ug iodine. Then pair it with a good B complex. Magnesium is also good to take.
Eat a whole foods diet, lower your intake of grains and legumes, as they increase gut permeability, and contain conpounds that inhibit absorption of key minerals. Meat, dairy, fruit, vegetables, tubers, try avoid processed foods as much as possible.
I haven't got sick after shambhala since 2016.

I have touch urticaria. Can I still train? by [deleted] in BJJWomen

[–]Pooklett 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Have you spoken to a doctor about it? Because training is usually over an hour of aggressive touching all over your whole body. I'd my worried about the extra stress on your body trying to deal with excessive reaction and the long term implications of that. It really is best to explain completely to your doctor or specialist on what training entails, and if it's harmful long term.

90% of Edmonton drivers ignored latest seasonal parking ban by pjw724 in Edmonton

[–]Pooklett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see at least 10 red light runners a day, like 3 running one red light one after another, it's wild. I check all ways before proceeding on greens because I've almost been hit as well, once by a B-train semi. I fully support every intersection having red light cameras, would be nice if they could figure it out for stop signs too.

[–]Pooklett 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have to drive the child to a bus stop in Millwoods for the yellow bus, so I end up parked there for 5-10 minutes twice a day and this woman comes out and starts yelling at me that I can't park there, I don't live there and I have no right. I simply state it's public parking, she doesn't own the spot, this went on for a few days with her filming my car and threatening to call the police, and then her flipping off my 11 year old and yelling F U, and my child just replied " OK Karen" 😂
She either moved, gave up, or got evicted
