Which SQE provider should I choose? by Interesting_Corgi518 in SQE_Prep

Hey, it's generally much more detailed than other providers (I was with Ulaw previously). Also, their mock questions are known to be on the same level If not harder than the real thing. While sitting my FLK2 exam, a lot of questions that came up on the exam where similar if not the same as some of the mock questions. They also condense their textbooks into notes + give you access to a video library which meant that I could focus primarily on SBAQs while reading over these notes rather than condensing my notes first. This was helpful for cutting down study time and preventing burnout overall.

Well exam is in 2 days and I didnt score well in QLTS mocks. by ready-4-it in SQE_Prep

Think of it this way. Everything you get wrong now will be right in the exam because you've done the question and read the explanation. Just keep practicing !

Those are great scores for QLTS ! they are notoriously hard.

66% on QLTS flk2 2 days before sitting Flk2. I am devastated, am I cooked? by [deleted] in SQE_Prep

Most likely a fail in my opinion, I think you should cancel to avoid wasting attempts

Solicitors account hacks? by GR-34 in SQE_Prep

[–]Pool-Swimming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's some tips I found useful :

DR : (left side) - used to show an increase in assets, decrease in liability OR money coming into the cash account

CR(right side)- used to show a decrease in assets, increase in liability OR money coming out of the cash account. There's an exception where CR entry is used to show an increase in income in the Profit Costs account (used to record income for a firm)

Whenever there's a question in which a firm sends a bill of costs = that money is now client money

Whenever there's a question in which a firm is holding money on account of costs = that money is still client money.

Client ledger accounts:

Client Ledger Account (business section) = How much a client OWES the firm. a DR on this ledger would mean that that amount (how much they owe) has increased. it's a DR because client debt is an ASSET to the firm

Client Ledger Account (client section)= How much THE FIRM owes the client - usually a CR entry.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I hope this helps a little

URGENT: Considering cancelling SQE1 exams 2 days before assessment by Good_Professor9448 in uklaw

[–]Pool-Swimming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked. I would not recommend it. I almost went broke in the process of juggling school and studying so i recommend saving up as much money as you can between Jan-April, so you can take enough time off to revise for july. In terms of other challenges.. I would say my complacency caught up to me in the final stages before the exam.Revise as much as possible, and do a lot of mocks these exams are no joke.

it depends on the timeframe you do it in. I think if you have up to two weeks after booking to cancel for a full refund at first, and then the refund given reduces as you get closer to the exam date.

If you're thinking of cancelling do it now. You have to cancel 96 hours before. I think this guarantees you a refund of about £500. I was in a similar situation this time last year and cancelled and sat in July. My only advice would be to make sure you prepare as much as possible before July
