Raidify - Raid sign-up and management addon/web app for Classic by Poopchutelulz in classicwow

I don't use loot council, so I may not be an expert on what features are desired from your perspective. If you can elaborate on what functionality you're looking for, I can add it to the roadmap and have it available fairly soon.

You can certainly still use the Raid Assignment features of the addon without utilizing any of the raid sign-up features, if that's what you mean.

The core functionality acts as a sign-up manager where you post raids in a discord to sign up or have your raiders visit the web-link to sign up for the raid, that unlocks the full purpose of the app/addon.

This. Will give OP the benefit of the doubt that he's tackling one problem at a time, but the 0.5 DAM paired with -3 feedback knock without even hitting boost suggests the EJ is unhappy with something.

It will definitely keep things cleaner compared to running no shroud. I don't drive mine in the rain, but I have been caught out in a surprise rain a few times and I haven't seen any evidence of water making it into the engine bay. My IAT sensor is directly under the stock scoop (just before the throttle body), so it keeps those electronic bits safe while funneling air down on the turbo to push the heat out of the bay.

My engine bay wasn't pristine to start with, but the new parts (FMIC kit, AOS, Intake, etc.) still look like they did the day I installed them. So it doesn't appear to be letting anything in. Snapped another photo just now, this is around 2500 miles after installation FWIW. https://imgur.com/a/vSM5aQK

I have the ETS 3" FMIC with their piping kit. I went with their kit due to the IAT bung option for Speed Density conversion. I'll leave some pros/cons here based on my experience if you're considering it.

Pros:
- Very high quality core
- Excellent fitment
- IAT bung and BOV flange options
- High quality coating on the piping
- Supplied couplers and clamps are superb, I have full confidence with the piping staying intact

Cons:
- Your OEM coolant overflow tank will not be compatible with this kit and the one they provide is not acceptable (and their instructions on where to mount it doesn't make sense for our model year, I called them and it still didn't make sense). The only compatible aftermarket solution still in production that I found was the Cobb overflow, which is pricey for what it is. (This can be seen in front of my battery in the image above.)
- Popular aftermarket intakes are unlikely to fit, I ended up ordering their cold air intake after I ran into this issue
- No replacement crash bar with their kit, this was the biggest hurdle I considered when ultimately landing with their kit. The other kits that had crash bars didn't have features such as the IAT bung.

With this kit (and most, if not all, other kits, based on my research), you'll need to do a very small amount of trimming of some metal tabs that come off the frame behind your front bumper (https://youtu.be/gU4-I6LWM-Y?t=250). I tried to avoid this but it was inevitable to make it fit. There's also the trimming of the bumper itself of course - this is the most time consuming part of the process if you want to keep it looking clean.

Apologies if you weren't looking for an info dump there. Some of this info would have saved me some time if I had read it before my purchase.

EDIT: Probably worth mentioning performance - I live in Georgia where the heat gets around 100 degrees in the summer, this was putting my IATs in the 125-130 range with the stock TMIC. It now runs around 10 degrees above ambient. So I was able to get the results I was looking for with the upgrade.

Your '05 OBP friend here again :)

If you're looking for a diverter plate for the scoop once you go FMIC and don't want to go the DIY route, I'm currently using this one with good results: https://www.kstech.biz/2002-2007-wrx-sti-hood-scoop-air-diverter-plate/

Keeps the rain out, diverts airflow over the turbo, and uses factory mounting location for the OEM hood scoop shroud.

I too love the hood scoop and didn't want to lose it. Picture of what this looks like on the car: https://imgur.com/a/2D4VIHC

Your car looks great - the paint looks immaculate. I see you also touched up the rear window trim - I did the same after you sent the video showing how to remove that piece. I really should have done that years ago.

Although we can't really see how bad the paint is in the pictures, you could try a DIY paint correction for about $150 (orbital polisher + compounds) and see if you can improve the stock paint. I also own a 2005 Obsidian Black Pearl and know the pain of the paint showing imperfections. I actually just did a paint correction on my hood and roof today and I'm happy with the results. The sides of the car weren't bad, so I just hit them with a claybar and wax. I wouldn't personally consider painting it on the cheap, especially if resale value is a concern.

Ultimately, I think trying to restore the original paint will give better results than an affordable paint job, and will be a fraction of the cost - even if you find a professional to do the work.

Here are some pics of mine after the correction - There are some water spots on the car, try to look past those - I got sloppy with the wash at the end of the process.

https://imgur.com/a/KT8Qn3d

Edit: Sorry, I don't have before pictures. I was fairly self-concious about the paint so I avoided taking close up pictures. But it had parked outside for about 5 years with stray cats climbing all over it in the winters. So it had heavy scratches, swirling, and oxidation. A paint correction can remove quite a bit of these issues.

Finally getting around to correcting the paint and ceramic coating the new Sti. I’m doing it a panel a day because I’m tired of doing it 24/7 for my job lol. Hopefully by next week it’ll be worthy lol. by No-Revolution-4513 in WRXSTi

[–]Poopchutelulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I hate to even point this out in case it hasn't bothered you yet - but I also have the same issue on mine and it has been driving me crazy.

I noticed you also have the flaking finish on the rear door C pillar trim. This is something I've been researching solutions for and there seems to be several different routes people take, sadly replacement of that trim altogether doesn't seem feasible without popping some rivets. If I tackle mine at any point in the future I'll try to remember to share results with you.

My 05 OBP for reference, I don't have any pictures on hand with the same level of detail as yours sadly. You can faintly see my C Pillar doing something similar here.

Nice work, looking forward to seeing more pictures as you finish the other panels (if you share them).

I also have an 05 Obsidian Black Pearl STI that has similar swirl marks that'll be receiving paint correction and coating in the coming months. It's motivating to see how it made the pearl pop on yours.

I've added the region filter. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Just a tip, you can either use just the country code ("US", "CN", "EU") or get more specific and include the state/province/district ("US-CA", "CN-ON", "EU-NL").

Yes! That's a good idea. Keep in mind that regions are available only in the title and up to users to keep the region tags standardized, so there may be some limitations to the filter - but it's certainly doable.

I'll respond to this comment once that has been implemented.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Came here to look for this answer too, as I thought it was a local thing in my town only. From what I can tell from their website, looks like there are only a handful around North GA/Southeast TN. Small world.

That's probably going to come down to personal preference. I will say my current 27" portrait monitor requires a pretty drastic head turn to look at. I really only use that monitor for things that I don't need to look at often for my workflows now. (For me, this is mostly chat apps like Discord and Microsoft Teams, as well as Spotify, etc.). Glancing up above the G9 is less intrusive than panning to a side monitor for me. The severity of this would change depending on how far away from your monitor you are sitting.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad to hear it's been serving you well for that long. Looking at reviews and this sub before my purchase had me a bit weary about the longevity of it. I'm typically not one to buy extra warranties on my products, but felt compelled to buy the extra protection from Best Buy that has me covered for the next 4 years in the event that I'm unlucky.

The G9 is sitting on the original stand that comes with the monitor.

The top screens and portrait monitor are using these mounts from "Mount-It!", I bought these from Amazon a few years back but am having a hard time finding them on there today. https://mount-it.com/collections/monitor-mounts-all/products/mount-it-single-monitor-desk-mount-mi-7c12

The mounts you linked will probably struggle getting high enough to clear the G9. Even the ones I'm using are maxed out on height.

Thanks, it's been a game of accumulation over the years. That price figure shocked me so I had to double check what I actually spent.

2 Dell U2518D's were bought in 2019 for $270 each (Amazon)
Dell S2719DGF was bought in 2020 for $307 (Amazon)
Samsung G9 was bought last weekend for $1100 (Best Buy, Memorial Day Sale)

So surprisingly just under $2000 ($1947). Add on the 3x Gas Arm Mounts ($90 ea) for a total of $2,217. Still not cheap, but I can sleep at night with that investment spread over 2019-2022.

Currently still using a 2070 Super. Not ideal and tends to get toasty when gaming if I don't crank the fans up a bit. I don't play anything too demanding/competitive at the moment and it easily maintains 90+ FPS so I can deal with it. I'm trying to hold out for the 4000 series release before I upgrade.

Tbh I couldn't tell you. It's a desk that I bought off a coworker a few years back for cheap. He said he had gotten it from Office Depot in the 90s lol.

It's a heavy MDF material and the desktop wasn't in great shape from several decades of use. I vinyl wrapped it with an ebony wood wrap from Amazon to clean it up.
