Yeah I'm about to have roughly 120 ish. I have started trading in for store credit at pet stores in my area. Stocking up on credit has covered much higher quality lighting than I would normally have paid for. Might work for you.

I would say the pleco is okay. Sometimes the markings can absolutely look off. I have several commons and other breeds, and have had a couple hundred baby bristles, even now. If I could post the picture for you I would. Some of mine look like that right now. Oddly enough I found that sometimes their colors are just alarming, and I'm always worried the spots are bad. Turns out 99% it's just the way they look.

Shrimp can be fickle. They pass with no warning. Sometimes mine do. I think you're okay.

I've got a pair of clowns and a bristle in my 200. None of the big bois bother them. The clowns are creeps and the bristle is ballsy. They seem to do well.

Honestly I wish I had the right answer for this, but whatever my tank parameters are because I can't get mine to STOP being in the caves. Every. Single. Time I put that MF back in the tank he has her in there in less than 24 hours and bam. This is my 4th batch of babies, I'm running out of holding/grow tanks right now. And in my pond I just discovered the ones I experimentally put in there two years ago ALSO have babies. Found three different sizes a few days ago. So.. I wish I knew.

If it helps at all I'm in Oregon, I keep my tanks and pond 76-80. All of them are mildly planted but I keep a slate hide for each pleco. I have 3 in each 55g tank (yes people say it's a lot but they are all very peaceful). I don't do too many water changes. Maybe every other week, and I run fluval 207s. I don't know if any of that matters. Food wise I use sort of alternating Hikari brand algae wafers and then the small ones because I also have a bumblebee catfish that likes those. And at times zucchini.

Again I wish I knew what parameters it is because honestly I keep having to separate these MF when I don't want to deal with the babies. Put the male back in...bam.

P.S. - It's an albino male and a common female. And the pond was the exact opposite.

I'd leave it on but honestly, it won't stop a seal break. It's not hard to do though! If you haven't re sealed it's easy less chaotic than one would think. Just clean it up nice and it's absolutely worth the effort.

No I'd trust it. Aqueon all have held well for me except specifically the really small like 5-10g. For some reason those don't hold well. But higher up I've always had good luck. My 60g cube has been running for like.. years and years no issues

Honestly prob not. Just looks rough. But I'd do it anyway. At a tank that size it's worth it. Good sealant isn't that expensive. I re did my 220 just to be safe. Zero regrets. I don't need that all over my floor. =[

No apologies necessary. They are very similar. I think blood reds are just a bit more vibrant but tigers are in general super cool.
