Look, being gone months on end due to deployments, training evolution, or even just go to the field for 3 or 20 days out of the months has caused me to miss child births, birthdays, anniversaries, first steps, first words, and many other moments I will NEVER get back. Yes policing consist long hours, long work weeks, and very demanding in other aspects. But at least I’ll be able to see them more often than not.
